Grace UMC announces Vacation Bible School

Grace United Methodist Church announced its upcoming Vacation Bible School program,“ Road Trip— On the Go with God,” running from Monday, June 23 through Thursday, June 26 from 12:30-3:30 p. m. The program will include lunch and is free to attend. It will be held at the church’ s temporary location at 142 N. Fourth St. in Coshocton.
This VBS is for children age 4 through sixth grade. The focus of the program is the Bible verse,“ The Lord is with you wherever you go”( Joshua 1:9).
Attendees will check in each day at 12:30 p. m. and be greeted by Scout, the Dog Puppet, followed by a light lunch. Afterward will be assembly time where attendees learn about the journey for the day with a skit by the Navigator— the leader of the Road Trip team— and Scout.
A Bible story about journeying with God and lots of music with motions and movement will be included during this time. Throughout the day kids will hear about life“ mile markers” such as God is with us on the journey, God is with us when we go off course, God is with us when we’ re joyful, God is with us when we’ re lonely, and God is with us near and far. There will be crafts, a Bible review and science experiments. The afternoon will end with a snack, songs, a closing prayer and saying good-bye to Scout.
“ We are committed to providing a fun, enriching and unforgettable experience for children, helping them learn about God’ s love and strengthening their faith,” said Cathy Hudson, VBS and education committee chairperson.
To register a child or ask questions, call the church office at 740-622-1302. A registration form, signed by the child’ s guardian, will be required for each child to participate. Forms are available at
