Fatherhood Initiative brings back annual pool party

After a two-year break , the Coshocton County Fatherhood Initiative Family Pool Party was welcomed back with a large crowd .

Noah Gallagher , who cochairs the organization with Isaac Bush . “ It was a hot day , and the kids were able to come out here and have some fun . It ’ s nice seeing all the smiling faces and hearing the laughter .”
The pool party was held at the Lake Park Aquatic Center . Admission was only $ 1 , and that included a hot dog , popcorn and drink . Families with children of all ages enjoyed splashing in the pool , swimming and going down the slides .
“ There are babies , toddlers and even grandparents here ,” Gallagher said . “ We want to create events for not just dads , but the whole family .”
Events like the pool party are made possible through grants and donations .
“ We get a lot of people who donate because they believe in fathers and families ,” Gallagher said .
