New bait shop opens near Wills Creek

All of you fishermen/
fisherwomen out there may
be interested to know there
is a new bait store only five
minutes from Wills Creek.
As most people know, the
Wills Creek Dam area
offers great fishing, and
Tucks Bait & Tackle has
everything one needs.
They have live bait, fat
head minnows, crawlers,
wax worms, chicken liver,
spinners, rubber worms,
lures and buzz baits, rods
and reels, and a lot more.
Also, Tucks Bait & Tackle
Logo T-shirts in three colors
with sizes large to 4XL
are just in, and they’re giving
away free car-window
decals. They also sell soft
drinks, candy bars and
snack items.
Proprietors Ken and
Amy Jennings named the
store after their 2-year-old
son Tucker.
“We wanted to establish
the family business for
him,” Amy Jennings said,
“so that he can grow up

helping in the business. It is
something we have always
wanted to do. We talked
about it for about 15 years.
For the last year and a half,
we researched it and decided
to go for it. We both like
to fish. Fishing is something
I’ve done for years. I was
raised doing it.”
Amy Jennings said this is
just the beginning. “We are
about 5 minutes from Wills
Creek,” she said. “It’s a big
fishing spot around here.
We saw a need for it. We are
going to see what this summer
brings, but we plan to
expand. It’s a small business
right now, but you’ve got to
start somewhere.”
