8 • The Beacon June 3, 2020 Jack David Freese Jack David Freese, son of the late Carson and Virginia (Bissonnete) Freese, passed away on April 25, 2020 at his home in Melbourne, Florida with his wife, Carol Jean Henry- Freese and her two children at his bedside. Jack was an Ohio State Highway patrolman for 40 years. He was born and raised in Coshocton, Ohio. Michael C. Collins Michael C. Collins age 68, passed away at the Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg, Ohio on February 21, 2020. He was born December 5, 1951 to the late John H. and Mary M. (Gannon) Collins. Soon after his graduation after patrol school, he became a lieutenant. He continued to serve as an Ohio State Highway Patrolman for 40 years, until he had to move to Melbourne, Florida due to his health. He had a son and daughter while living in Coshocton. He is survived by granddaughter, Mellisa Boughman and her sons, sisters, Mabel Moore of Bellevue, Barbara Madison and Rosemary Sagle of Coshocton. Our family would like to thank all the staff of Home Health, Hospice and the staff at Majora Lane Nursing home; he loved and appreciated all of them. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery in Adamsville, Ohio. Fred E. Montgomery Fred E. Montgomery, 76, of Fresno, died peacefully at his home May 21, 2020 surrounded by family giving him birthday wishes in which he received the greatest birthday gift of them all meeting his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2020 at the Chili Crossroads Bible Church, 29445 County Rd 10 Fresno, with Pastor Neal Dearyan officiating. Friends called from 3-5 p.m. at the church. Fred was born May 21, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio and was the son of Edward D. and Lola I. (Jenkins) Montgomery. On April 25, 1987 he married Rachel A. (Bacon) Moore who survives. They celebrated 33 years of marriage together. He also leaves behind the mother of his children Donna M. (Barr) Pyles of Beallsville, Ohio. He worked over 20 years at National Cash Register. He also portrayed Santa Claus for 46 years. He was a member of Chili Crossroads Bible Church. (Tonya) Paul Clifford Finton Jr. Paul Clifford Finton, Jr., of Plainfield passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on June 5, 1950 in Coshocton to the late Paul C. and Helen (Rice) Finton, Sr. He was a 1970 graduate of Ridgewood High School. On June 6, 1971 he married Debra Ann (Gress) Finton. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard where he served as a Buck Sergeant. He volunteered for the American Red Cross as Disaster Chairmen for 25 plus years. Paul was an EMT for West Lafayette and Coshocton. He was also a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
