John Hill
John Hill, 83, passed away on June 19, 2025, at Genesis Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1941, in Halifax, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Beulah( Garber) Hill.
A proud veteran, John served in the United States Marines from 1958 to 1961, being stationed on the island of Okinawa as a heavy equipment operator. Throughout his life he remained a proud Marine Veteran. On July 6, 1968, he married Rita( Burris) Hill, who preceded him in death on July 6, 2020.
He started John Hill Trucking and expanded

his business to include Coshocton Lease and
Rental, Route 5 Auto, G & L Grocery, and Kate’ s Novelty. His drive and ambition for business was matched only by his love for life and the joy he found in connecting with others and maintaining strong friendships.
John cherished moments spent in his garage, where he welcomed visitors whether it was to talk or play a round of cards. Known for hosting an annual garage hog roast, he brought together family and friends to celebrate good food and great company. He spent his free time watching NASCAR
and riding his motorcycles visiting all continental 48 states. His passion for antique cars led him to participate in antique shows, winning several trophies. In November of 2020, he suffered significant health challenges and spent the last couple of years at Windsorwood Place. He worked hard to adapt to a different lifestyle and still was able to make friends and continue to be his“ ornery” self while showcasing his beloved dog, Heidi aka Baby.
He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Misty( David
) Patterson and Holly Hill; his grandchildren, Joshua( Beth) Patterson, Jodi( Tray) Snyder, and Jared( Meghan) Patterson; and 11 great-grandchildren, who all adored him deeply. He is also survived by his siblings, Janice( Rich) Mills, Nancy Boss, and Judy( Mike) Verba, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Rita he is preceded in death by his son, Mitch Hill.
Memorial services to honor John’ s life will be held at the Miller Funeral Home in Coshocton on
Friday, June 27, 2025, beginning with calling hours from 1pm to 3pm. A memorial service will begin at 3pm with John Williams officiating. Family and friends are also invited to join a Celebration of Life Reception at the Moose at 120 Main Street in Coshocton at 4:00 PM that same day.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard at: 318 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

WARSAW- Gary Lee“ Butch” Kaufman, 79, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at The Laurels of Mt. Vernon.
He was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Wooster, to the late Jacob Urban Kaufman Jr. and Frances Vivian( Sigler) Kaufman Zetty. He was a 1964 graduate of Warsaw High School, and retired in 1995, from Rockwell after 30 years.
Gary’ s passions were farming and taking care of his family. He spent his life helping his dad on their many farms. He loved taking family vacations, enjoyed coffee with friends, crossword puzzles, and the competitive scrabble game. His family usually referred to

him as the“ Word Doctor”.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dianne Lynette( Lowery) Kaufman, whom he married March 12, 1965; two children, Alice Dunfee, and Ronald( Sharon)
Kaufman; grandchildren, Anastasia( Judd) Smailes, Danielle( Daniel) West, Morgan Kaufman, Jarod( Kayla) Kaufman, Mason( Tomara) Clark, Montanna( Robert) Congrove, Tia Moore, Catelin( Alex) Bales, Chelsie( Kyle) Helms, and Cassie( Collin) Conrad; step-grandchildren, Brock( Natalie) Hazen and Adrienne( Ryan) Hardman; greatgrandchildren, Jaxson & Joella West, Kay-Lee Smailes, Logan, Aubrey & Brooke West, Kegen, Kaiden & Luna Ross, Lewis & Eleanor Kaufman, Cadence & Mason Bales, Carson & Korben Helms, and a great-granddaughter expected, Blair Catherine Conrad; step-greatgrandchildren, Katelynn,
Andrew, Selden & Lydia Hazen, and Lilly & Leo Hardman; a step-greatgreat-grandchild, Scarlett Hazen; two brothers, Jay D. Kaufman, and John J.( Debra) Kaufman; and a daughter-in-law, Joann Kaufman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Kaufman, and a daughter Cindy Kaufman.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 p. m. Monday, June 23, 2025, at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Pastor Aaron Dowell officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place at a later date in Valley View Cemetery. FischerFuneral- Home. com.
