The West Lafayette Ridgewood Alumni Association annual banquet was held June 7 at Ridgewood Middle School’ s gymnasium with 180 attendees.

The honored classes this year included 1955, 1965, 1975 and 1985. The classes were introduced and given a class flower.

The following 2025 graduate scholarship winners were recognized and introduced: Kiley Hahn, daughter of Travis and Mindy Hahn; Cohen Miller, son of Carla and Jimmy Miller; and Maggie Shannon, daughter of Robin and Jamison Shannon.

Kaylee Kunze, daughter of Melanie and Ben Kunze, also was a recipient but was unable to attend. Christian Ford, a 2025 Ridgewood graduate, also was recognized. He has attended the alumni banquet several years and is a 2023 Eagle Scout.

Scholarships are made possible through the donations from members of the alumni. This year special donations were given by David Van Dusen in memory of Jerry Porteus( 1960) and Carl Sycks( 1958), Donis L Shaw( 1975) and Judy Foreman Shaw( 1977) in memory of Donis L Shaw Sr.( 1945), Nancy Warne in memory of Steven J Warne( 1970), and Susan and Chris Shuck( 1982) in memory of Terry Wolfe( 1985).

Door prizes were awarded to several attendees and were provided by Auer Hardware, Buckeye Beverage Barn, French Press Cafe, Garden Patch Greenhouse, Gwen’ s Guns and Goods, Hickory Flats Golf Course, Home Loan Savings Bank, Pearl Valley Cheese, Rainbow Hills Winery, Raven’ s Glenn Winery, Schumaker Farms, and Village Massotherapy. Ridgewood Local School District; Mike Masloski, superintendent; the Ridgewood Board of Education; the Ridgewood custodial and maintenance crew of Doug Patterson, Christy Nelson, Cathy Cutshall and Ed Huff; Ridgewood FFA members Logan Pyers and Sue Davis, advisers; the alumni committee of Sandy Shaw, Sally Ann Shaw Hickman, Kathy Crouso Hendricks and Cathy Frederick McCrea; and volunteers Deb Scheetz, Sharlynn Shaw Smith, Sheryl Shaw and Macy Snapp.

Ridgewood High School’ s first graduating class was 1965. Those who attended the June 7 alumni banquet were Dan Norman, Cathy Frederick McCrea, Linda Thomas Miller, Reta Emig Gretel, Larry Bryan, Sharon Hawk Specht, Nancy Patterson Dillym, Tim Lehman, Yolanda Armbrust McCrea and Gloria Broome Nixon.
