The Coshocton Farmers Market has been in full swing every Saturday from 8:30 a . m . to noon on the 300 block of Main Street , Court Square side , since May 7 .

There is a variety of vendors . Vendors offering local produce are able to accept the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons for payment . This is a program administered by the USDA via the ODA , Area Agency on Aging and the local senior center . These coupons can be used to buy local produce and honey . Vendors also are able to accept

Women , Infant and Children farmers market coupons for payment . These coupons can be used to purchase local produce only ( no honey ).

Spring Valley Farm has high tunnels , which allow them to start many vegetable crops early because they are protected from frosts and cold night temperatures . Because of their high tunnels , they will have

green beans and cucumbers this coming week .

Winding Creek Farm expects to have a limited amount of asparagus this week , along with local honey . Several vendors will have strawberries available as well .

Rootbound Harvest is new with their microgreens . Other produce has been slow in coming on due to the cool weather and rain .

There is a variety of artisans present at the Coshocton Farmers Market . Vendors are offering everything from hairbows to scented candles and melts , handmade

Baked goods vary from cookies , breads , granola , brownies , cookie bars and the like to a variety of pies , coffee cakes , cupcakes and sweetbreads . And don ’ t forget the candy .
