Ladies report their golf scores

On May 31 play of the day was low gross for the Hickory Flats Ladies League . A-flight winner was Connie Lahna with 41 , and the B-flight winner was Brenda Kline with 53 . Other low scores were Sherry Kirkpatrick , 43 ; Lahna , 41 ; and Sue Patterson , 49 .
Play of the day was two lady best ball for the River Greens Thursday Morning Ladies . Winners were A-flight team of Becky Pittis and Lynn Hill with 34 , and the B-flight winning team was Jane Mautz and Sue Patterson with 35 . Other low scores were Mardella Rice , 42 ; Pittis , 44 ; Mautz , 45 ; and Lahna and Deb Bucklew , 47 .

SUNDAY , JUNE 11 , 1972 Sycamore School said goodbye to one of its pillars after 37 years on Thursday night . Garnet Huff has been a teacher for 44 years and is best known for teaching fourth grade at Sycamore . A Roscoe native , she taught at Roscoe School prior to moving over to Sycamore . At a small party held at the home of Harold Otis she received an engraved school bell , which is just the latest in honors she has received . Well decorated , she received a number of awards and certificates , including the State Life Elementary Certificate .
SATURDAY , JUNE 12 , 1982 Four area track athletes were selected for the Eastern District Track All-Star teams . Jeri Mc- Neely , Renee Mahon , Kelly McCoy and Joanna Loos went to the girls team , while Craig Smalley is going to the boys team .
TUESDAY , JUNE 9 , 1992 The Jasper Meek residence has now been demolished . Earlier this morning crews began work tearing down the building , constructed in the 1870s by favored local builder Ricketts , which has sat empty for a while now . The home once belonged to founder of American Art Works Jasper Fremont Meek . Meek and his company was one of the influential sign makers that put Coshocton and the specialty advertising industry on the map . Owner Tom Rager has no plans for the Chestnut Street site , although there are rumors a commercial building will go in .
WEDNESDAY , JUNE 12 , 2002 Among the graduates of the Ridgewood class of ‘ 02 there were a few whom were a good deal older than you ’ d expect . A number of local World War II veterans were awarded diplomas . The late Arthur Caulier Jr ., whose diploma was received by his daughter Janis Barker ; the late John Victor Hough Sr ., whose diploma was received by his daughter Julie Dobbins ; Charles Dittmar ; Wayne Harman ; Harold Almack ; Raymond Emerson Mets and Raymond Lowell Milligan each were awarded diplomas .
WEDNESDAY , JUNE 13 , 2012 Tom Ragland was here in Coshocton practicing with the Coshocton 14U Babe Ruth Team . Hitting the Minor League in 1965 before going to the Majors , Ragland is perhaps best remembered around here for his time on the Indians in 1973 . He gave the local kids , and coaches John McPeak , Walter Bergeron and Mark Krebs tips .
