Indian Mud Run celebrating 10th anniversary

Around 800 people have already registered for the Indian Mud Run to be held on Saturday , June 25 . Parking is at Lake Park , and vans will take people to the event . The first wave is for pro men and women and will begin at 8 a . m . Registration can be completed at events . com or on race day .
Hubie Cushman said the length of the races vary from 10k and 5k to an extreme obstacle 3k .

TUESDAY IS “ MATINEE ALL DAY !” are going to have 100 obstacles in the 10k . The 5k will have just over 40 , but it is geared for first timers , and the 5k will bypass all the really hard obstacles . I really want to drive home that point — the 5k is a much easier race ,” Cushman said .
Many new obstacles are part of this year ’ s run .
“ We are blessed to have the obstacle build crew that puts on the World Championships as our build crew again this year . We won multiple awards last year as the best small OCR race in America , and people say we are the best race in America to prepare for the World Championships ,” Cushman said .
Alyssa Haines , Indian Mud Run event coordinator , said there are two special groups coming this year — Enduring Warrior and More Heart than Scars .
“ These are amazing athletes who find opportunity in the obstacles they face in life and on this course . MHTS is bringing someone through our course on a wheelchair . This group will be taking off at 10 , and we would love the community to show up and support them at the

All money will go to first responders and the Coshocton Park District .
Haines said , “ We don ’ t receive a penny from this race . We do it because we love our community , and we love OCR . We put our heart , soul and so much of our time into making this event special . We would love for more locals to run , volunteer or just come up and hang out in the festival area . There will be Wooly Pig beer , music and food trucks in the festival area with obstacles that are all very spectator friendly .”
There will be a kids ’ course again , and registration is on race day only .

Chicken barbecue and tractor pull are planned
The Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department will have a chicken barbecue on Saturday , June 18 at the Bakersville Community Park , state
Route 751 , Bakersville .
Serving will start at 4 p . m . The menu includes a half chicken , applesauce , potato salad , drink and dessert .
There also will be a dead weight tractor pull hosted by the Bakersville Ohio Tractor Pullers Association . Weighin will start at 8 a . m ., and the pull will start at 9 a . m . For more information on the pull , call Chris at 740-502-8254 .
Breakfast will be served from 7-10 a . m . A lunch stand will be provided by the Progressive Valley 4-H Club .
