Following the reading , former neighbor Patti Malenke will converse with Yoder about the book .
“ Nightbitch ” is a tale of a young mother ’ s abrupt transformation from creative , self-directed career woman to handmaid of child and home . mother ’ s fear takes a turn when she discovers a tail and that wagging it actually makes her happy .
Yoder ’ s imagination runs free in this story . This is no typical story of a woman collapsing from the weight of society ’ s expectations and the tedium of child care . Think metamorphosis and rejuvenation .
Yoder ’ s debut novel is already reviewed by publications such as “ The Guardian ” and “ The Chicago Review of Books .”
“ Nightbitch ” also has been optioned for film by Annapurna with Amy Adams set to star . The Wooly Pig Farm Brewery is thrilled Yoder is making it big and willing to share her novel with her hometown . Reserve a free spot or prepurchase a book and beer combo for the night via the Wooly Pig ’ s Facebook page or on its website at www . woolypigfarmbrewery . com . The Wooly Pig is located at 23631 Township Road 167 , Fresno .
