Other activities included atlatl throwing , hula-hoop contests , bow drill necklace making and seashell necklace making . “ We did the Family Fun Day event in 2019 but were not able to in 2020 because of COVID , so we are excited to bring it back ,” said Rachel Bechtol , social-media coordinator for Visit Coshocton , Ohio !
According to Bechtol , more than 150 people had responded to the event on Facebook , and within the first hour and a half of the event , 50 people had already come through the village .
Coshocton Visitors Bureau director Mindy Brems said , “ Today we have seen people from six different states . The business association works hard to make sure the village is a great place to tour , shop and spend time . We are proud that our shops are all locally owned ; I think it ’ s really important to our community .”

Rev . Quillen appointed to Grace United Methodist

Rev . Deb Quillen was appointed by the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Churches to serve at Grace United Methodist Church .
Quillen comes to Coshocton from East Fairfield United Methodist Church . She earned her bachelor ’ s in music from Heidelberg College in 1983 and received her Master of Arts in Christian Education and her Master of Divinity from METHESCO in 1991 .
Quillen said her faith journey grew as a young person as she attended various church camps and college fellowships , developing her biblical disciplines . As time went on , she wrestled between the call for full-time ministry and continuing her work with the mentally challenged and with music therapy . She said God , however , faithfully and patiently directed her steps with experiences , the scriptures and with other people who confirmed her call to the ministry .
The Grace congregation welcomes her and her husband , Chuck , to Coshocton and encourages anyone
in Coshocton looking for a church family to come . They offer a 10 a . m . Sunday in-person service .
