Masloski gave a public commendation to Ridgewood Elementary student Bill Gottardi , a thirdgrade student , for receiving the Partners in Education All Star Award . This award recognizes students in kindergarten through 12th grade who exhibit academic achievement , community involvement , citizenship and leadership in and out of the classroom . Gottardi will receive merchandise including a backpack , water bottle , headphones and a gift card .
Masloski also reported on the following items approved by the board :
— Retirement of Linda Ondayko , effective Sept . 30 .
— Voluntary transfer of Andi Dobbins as a fourth-grade teacher .
— Hired Caleb Tingle as an intervention specialist for the 2023-24 school year .
— Hired Kiersten Sheaffer as a para-pro aide for the Coshocton County Career Center as presented .
— Employed Tasha Slaughter as a classified sub for the district .
— Approved changes for any bus driver or any employee holding a bus license beginning his / her 11th extra-curricular trip to be paid his / her hourly rate , effective July 1 through June 20 , 2024 .
— Approval for the Village of West Lafayette to use school property to set off fireworks for the West Lafayette Homecoming on Saturday , July 29 or rain date of Sunday , July 30 .
— Supplemental to Samantha Krocker for auxiliary band .
— A p p r o v e d I a n McCurdy for summer work in IT department , effective July 24 .
— A memorandum of understanding between the board and the REA concerning salary schedule for Education Column Increase and Supplemental for Accelerated Reader was approved as presented .
— M e a l p r i c e s approved for the 2023-24 school year with breakfast for kindergarten through 12th grade at no charge , milk at 50 cents , lunch for students in kindergarten through third grade at $ 2.75 , fourth grade through 12th grade at $ 3 , and adult pricing provided at next board meeting .
— A purchase order to Global Industries was approved as presented for $ 20,300 for track padding .
The next regular board meeting will be Friday , Aug . 18 at 8 a . m . at the administration building , 301 S . Oak St ., West Lafayette .
