Ohio University shares spring graduation list

More than 4,800 students graduated with bachelor ’ s , master ’ s or doctorate degrees from Ohio University for spring semester 2021 .
Coshocton County students included the following :
Betsy Alverson of Coshocton graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing ( family nurse practitioner ) from the College of Health Sciences and Professions .
Mykahia Alverson of Coshocton graduated with a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Health Sciences and Professions .
Wesley Berry of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Russ College of Engineering and Technology .
Kyle Bethel of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education , majoring in middle childhood language arts and social studies from the Gladys W . and David H . Patton
College of Education .
Sydney Bone of West Lafayette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education , majoring in early childhood from the Gladys W . and David H . Patton College of Education .
Cassidy Cantrell of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education , majoring in early childhood from the Gladys W . and David H . Patton College of Education .
David Edmunds of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication , majoring in information and telecommunication systems from the Scripps College of Communication .
Sarah Sheldon of Coshocton graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine .
Nathaniel Thompson of West Lafayette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Russ
College of Engineering and Technology .
Cindy Wang of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Consumer Sciences , majoring in retail merchandising and fashion product development from the Gladys W . and David H . Patton College of Education .
Deborah Williams of Coshocton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from the College of Business .

Shrimplin earns Davis Family Educational Grant

Cal M . Shrimplin II , a 2021 graduate of River View High School and son of Cal and Renee Priest Shrimplin , was selected for the Davis Family Educational Grant . This $ 1,000 grant is awarded through the Warsaw Alumni Scholarship Program . This award was presented to Shrimplin and the University of Findlay , where he will attend in the fall .
This is the 12th year for this award . It is funded by a local Davis family who has a legacy of involvement in support of education and agriculture in the Warsaw community .
While in high school , Shrimplin was active in the Letterman ’ s Club , National Honor Society , German National Honor Society , Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Muskingum Valley Leadership Summit as an ambassador . He was a class officer for three years and student council president for two years .
Shrimplin has participated in football , basketball and baseball for four years . His honors in football included first-team Muskingum Valley League , second-team All-Eastern District and third-team All- Ohio . In basketball and baseball , he was secondteam MVL . In addition , he participated in the Muskingum County-Licking County all-star contest .
In community activities Shrimplin has been a 10-year member in 4-H and served on the junior fair board , Junior Leadership Club and as a 4-H camp counselor .
In college Shrimplin plans to major in pre-animal science with a goal of becoming a veterinarian and operating a local clinic in Coshocton County . He also will play football for the University of Findlay Oilers .
Shrimplin is a member of the Warsaw First Presbyterian Church .
