Patricia“ Patsy” Sue Stephan, 90, of West Lafayette passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born in Millersburg, OH on June 17, 1935, to the late Glen and Florence( Everhart) VanSickle.
Patricia graduated from Millersburg High School in 1953, while still in high school she worked at her parents ice cream shop“ Van’ s Confectionary” and helped deliver newspapers for her families newspaper business. Following high school she worked at PBF Strawberry Farm, worked as a volunteer for West Lafayette EMS and retired from Pretty Products. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a HeadStart grandmother,

Patricia S. Stephen
was the 2003 West Lafayette Senior Homecoming Queen, and enjoyed bowling in the Pretty Products and Early Bird Bowling Leagues. She was also member of DAR, Blue Ridge Grange, and St. Paul’ s Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, and head of the prayer chain for many years.
She is survived by her children Sue( Tim) Tubbs of Coshocton, Kathy( Kevin) Freshwater of West Lafayette, and Allen( Dena) Stephan of Coshocton; daughterin-law Laurie Stephan of West Lafayette; grandchildren Maria( Lance), AJ( Kim), Marisa( Wendell), William( Alicia), Timmy( Jessie), Heath( Shannon), Krystal( Gary), Kelsi( Justin), Kensey( Casey), April( Aiden), Jody( Josh), Robert( Erin), Austin, Seth( Megan), Taylor( Tyler), and Zoey( Justin); thirty six great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; siblings Linda( Bob)

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Stephan, who passed away in 2004; son Glen Stephan, who passed in 2015; great grandchild Jace Easter; siblings Glen, Robert, Tom( Eva), Richard“ Dick( Mary Jean), and Ray( Gay and Mary) VanSickle, Sandy Schmid, and Judy( Ray) Lawter; father and mother in law Clarence and Artie“ Tish” Stephan; and brothers and sisters in law Forrest“ Buzz” and Willma Freetage, and Walter Ramseyer.
Friends were able to call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812, on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral services were held at St. Paul’ s Lutheran Church, 121 S College St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832, on Tuesday, at 11:00am. Pastor Mark Brodbeck officiated.
Burial followed at Fairfield Cemetery.
