GhostBox Productions holds camp

It has taken four years, but GhostBox Productions, a troupe-based theater company, has started.
The eight-member group met through different performance-based activities around Coshocton. The group is comprised of Graham Beaumont, Heath Chaney, Samantha Corbett, Jenna Jordan, Kyle McMullen, Mary McMullen, Percy Wright- Delgado and Kayla Wyers.
For the last two years, the group has been working with Clary Gardens to present theater education for children and musical showcases. The group officially became GhostBox Productions in June.
Mary McMullen said,“ Our group is committed to providing the community with rich, thoughtful performance experiences and quality theater education for children and adults.”
The Growing Stage is a theater camp for kids age 5-15.
On July 14 there was a play writing workshop, and there was an acting workshop on July 17. Backstage and design will be Monday, July 21, and theater basics

Theater camp week will be Monday through Friday, July 28 through Aug. 1 from 1-3:30 p. m. each day. Campers will work together to create and produce a short play to perform for

GhostBox Productions also will present“ Echoes of Summer: A Musical Showcase” on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, Aug. 1 at 7 p. m. at the Clary Gardens Pavilion. This showcase will feature Beaumont, Chaney, Corbett and Wyers.
“ This lovely compilation of musical theater will be the perfect way to spend a warm summer evening in the gardens. Admittance is pay what you will, and all proceeds benefit future programming for GhostBox Productions,” McMullen said.“ We are thrilled with our continued partnership with Clary Gardens and are grateful to the area businesses and community who have supported our work.”

TUESDAY, JULY 15, 1975 Warsaw Elementary will soon be adding two classrooms. At the River View Board of Education meeting held last night a $ 48,955 contract was awarded to the Hathaway Construction Co. of Coshocton. In addition to the expansion to Warsaw Elementary work will be done to Union Elementary, although a contract has yet to be awarded. In addition to other business the board also approved the establishment Tueof a girl’ s athletic supplementary program, an effort recommended by both the principal, Donald Nixon, and athletic director, Joe Prosek.
SUNDAY, JULY 14, 1985 Dr. Richard Luley will soon open an office in Warsaw. The doctor will be running a family practice at 200 Main St., sharing a waiting room with D. D. S. Dr. Dan Wilson.“ This is a milestone for our community,” said Business Association President Gary Fischer.“ The search for a doctor to serve the area has been a long one, one that my father( the late Lynn Fischer) set as the number one priority for Warsaw.”
TUESDAY, JULY 16, 1985 Harold Blust has been named director of the Joint Vocational School, replacing Gary Romes. Blust became a teacher at Ridgewood High School in 1970, then serving as assistant director at the JVS from 1978 to 1980. He would then become assistant principal at CHS prior to moving to the Jefferson County JVS, and then returning as principal for the Coshocton Middle School.
SUNDAY, JULY 16, 1995 Fesler’ s furniture will soon move from Pleasant Valley to Main Street. Judy Fesler will be closing the current store on Aug. 5 and plans to reopen at the new location, 341 Main, on Aug. 14.“ I’ m going bigger, but not more expensive. It’ s still going to be the same store,” said Fesler. The move and the additional floor space provided will see the need for up to four more employees.
SUNDAY, JULY 10, 2005 Gunnery Sgt. Scott Stubbs has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. A weather forecaster, Stubbs received the medal for his work in Iraq from June 1, 2004 to Feb. 24, 2005.“ I did a lot of work prior to our deployment and did much more there and was recognized for everything that I did. I was surprised because a lot of the times it seems you do a lot of work with no recognition. This was a pleasant surprise,” said Stubbs.“ We look at aircraft safety in flight, if they will be able to land when they get where they are going and we do a lot of intelligence.”
