Spring 2021 Highlights
We create opportunities for people to explore how science-based knowledge can improve social , economic , and enviromental conditions .
OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION
OSU Extension Educator , David Marrison , is partnering with area farmers to conduct on-farm research . This research includes monitoring for the Western Bean Cutworm and Spotted Lanternfly as well as a national “ Boots on the Ground ” soybean research plot in conjunction with Lapp Farms .
During April and early May , 60 junior students at Coshocton County Career and 80 sophmore student at Coshocton High School went through Real Money . Real World . This fun , hands-on approach to financial literacy program helps students learn about the connections between education level and potential for earned income as well as budgeting for family expenses .
4-H Camp Counselors have been hard at work ( and play !) learning skills to be great camp counselors as well as learning to be a stronger team with lots of fun team building games in between the lessons . Counselors have 15 hours of training they are completing prior to being able to go to 4-H Camp where there will be over 100 youth from Coshocton County .
4-H School Enrichment programs have been in full swing including Rockets Away , Afterschool Agriculture and recently ChickQuest during Conesville ’ s Summer Program .
