Hardesty earns scholarship

Aleigha M . Hardesty was one of 10 graduating seniors at River View High School who received a $ 1,000 Warsaw Alumni Scholarship . She is the daughter of Jason and Renee Hardesty of Warsaw . These awards are sponsored by graduates , teachers and friends of the former high school and the community .
While in high school , she was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes , Lettermen ’ s Club , Spanish Honor Society ,

Bowman selected for scholarship

Bailey A . Bowman , a 2021 graduate of River View High School and daughter of Wendy and the late Harold Butch Bowman , was selected for the Clodaugh Brenneman Cline Scholarship through the Coshocton Foundation and the Warsaw Alumni Scholarship Program . This award is a $ 1,000 scholarship that will be paid to the college of her choice , which is Haverford College in Haverford , Pennsylvania .
This scholarship is funded by Al Cline in memory of his wife , Clodaugh Brenneman Cline , and members of the Cline family through the Coshocton Foundation . This is the 26th year for this award .
While attending River View , Bowman was active on the speech debate team , student council , was a class officer , Ohio Model United Nations , National Honor Society , Rock Your World Cultures , Spanish Honor Society , Leo Club , Letterman ’ s Club , soccer , track and basketball . In addition , she was the founder and president of

the Nike Club , a student version of the Business and Professional Women ’ s Foundation . She also was selected as Coshocton County ’ s representative to Buckeye Girls State .
As a varsity soccer player , she was selected as Player of the Year in the Eastern District and first-team All-State and will be placed in the River View Athletic Hall of Fame . She is a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church .
In college Bowman plans to major in English with a concentration in peace , justice and human rights to prepare her to become a human rights attorney .
National Honor Society and the Coshocton County Youth Leadership Program . In addition , she participated in soccer , softball and basketball . She served as team captain in soccer her senior year . She also is a member of Burt Avenue Wesleyan Church .
Since her sophomore year , she has attended Zane State College in the college options program .
Hardesty ’ s plans include becoming a science teacher . In the fall she will attend Muskingum University , majoring in teacher education and specializing in integrated science . She also would like to play soccer .
