Festival planned at the fairgrounds

A new event is coming to Coshocton Friday through Sunday , July 22-24 . Rock Coshocton is a motor and music festival that is being sponsored by the Coshocton County Fair ’ s board and Twisted Image Cycles . The festival will be held at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds .
On Friday gates will open at 2 p . m ., and the motor part of the day will be auto cross with mini bikes . Music for that evening will be Piss N Vinegar and Common Vice .

On Saturday the gates will open at 9 a . m . Events for that day will include an obstacle course , mud pit , mini bikes , and the Rock Coshocton Motor Show featuring cars , trucks , jeeps , UTVs and motorcycles . Cold Gin — Kiss , Nightrain — Guns & Roses , Charlie Bonnet II and Smilo & the Ghost will be the music for the day .
Gates open at 10 a . m . on Sunday with events including an obstacle course , UTV drag racing and UTV rodeo . The Mud Jam also will be that

Entries for the annual Big Tree Contest are now being taken by the Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District .
The contest is open to all species of trees growing on privately owned property in Coshocton County . Property-line trees and trees growing on federal , state or local government land are not eligible . Any person can enter any tree that is physically located in Coshocton County , whether or not the tree is growing on the nominator ’ s property .
Two winning trees will be chosen this year . The Big Tree Contest is county-wide while the Coshocton Is Blooming category is limited to trees growing within the Coshocton city limits . Coshocton SWCD encourages people to submit as many entries as they like for themselves or their neighbors . Entries will be measured by a representative from Coshocton SWCD using the national standardized measurement criteria .
The owners of the winning big trees will each receive a plaque and two tickets to Coshocton
