Telescope reveal party is planned
Pomerene Arts is inviting people to the artPARK to experience the first James Webb Space Telescope images on Friday , July 15 at 8 p . m . ( three days after NASA ’ s online reveal ).
“ We will be able to see back into the early stages right after the Big Bang . We will see galaxies that are in their infant stage and are now over 12 billion years old ,” said
Robbie Kehl , adult services coordinator at the Coshocton Public Library .
T h e e v e n i n g ’ s schedule includes the following :
— Make a universe shirt with Arty Bots , black light sensitive materials and your own T-shirt at 8 p . m .
— Universe watercolor painting demonstration by artist Carole Hunt at 8:45 p . m .
— A little bit of
background about the JWST presented by Robbie Kehl at 9:15 p . m .
— J a m e s W e b b Telescope Image R e ve a l / Bl a c k L ig h t Party with chance to respond to the first images projected large on the artPARK wall by creating a watercolor with the help of
Carole Hunt at 9:30 p . m .
Guests might want to bring the following to this free event :
— If you went to Camp Invention this summer , bring your Arty Bot to share .
— Wear a dark T-shirt that will disappear under black light .

she differentiates instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners in the classroom . Croft also was the recipient of the 2021-22 MVESC Exemplary Educator , for which she was recognized among other teachers in the region .
Each year the Ohio Department of Education asks each Ohio school district to submit their candidate for the Ohio Teacher of the Year . The program identifies exceptional teachers who inspire others inside and outside the classroom . A committee in each of Ohio ’ s 11 State Board of Education Districts reviewed applications

and selected Croft as this year ’ s award winner . She will continue to move ahead in the selection process for the 2023 State Teacher of the Year .
“ Leslie Croft is an exceptional educator who inspires her students and colleagues on a daily basis . She is highly respected and most deserving of this distinguished award , and Coshocton City Schools is extremely proud of her many accomplishments ,” Superintendent Dr . David Hire said .
The Ohio Teacher of the Year program began in 1964 . In 1996 Coshocton High School social studies teacher Cathy Priest was selected as Ohio ’ s Teacher of the Year .
