Coshocton Farmers Market taking SFMNP , WIC

The Coshocton Farmers Market has been in full swing every Saturday morning from 8:30 a . m . to noon on the 300 block of Main St . in front of the court square , since the first of May .
They have a wide variety of vendors who have faithfully set up their tables with their wares no matter the weather . A few have had early produce available for those wanting fresh local vegetables and fruits . Most of the vendors offering local produce are able to accept the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons for payment . This is a program administered by the USDA via the ODA , Area Agency on Aging and the local senior center . These coupons can be used to buy local produce and honey . New , starting this past week , many produce vendors are also able to accept Women , Infant and Children ( WIC ) coupons for payment . These coupons can be used to purchase local produce only ( no honey ).
Spring Valley Farm has high tunnels which allows them to start many vegetable crops early since they are protected from frosts and cold night temperatures . Because of their high tunnels they have been able to offer produce such as onions , lettuce , peas , green beans and cucumbers early . They expect to have tomatoes very soon . Winding Creek Farm continues to have fresh kale available ( sorry , the asparagus is done ) along with local honey and maple syrup . They will have seedless wild black raspberry jam soon now that the berries are ripening .
There are a wide variety of very talented artisans present at the Coshocton Farmers Market as well . Mia & Sky Bowtique offers unique
