SUNDAY , JUNE 26 , 1971 As part of the International Farm Youth Exchange program Coshocton and the Doughty family are hosting Domenico Iaffaldano . The 25-year-old is from a small town in southern Italy called Rutigliano and is here to study American farming . In particular he will be observing dairy farming techniques . The National 4-H Club runs the IFYE program , and Domenico is here in cooperation with a similar organization called 3P , which stands for Prove Produce Progress .
WEDNESDAY , JUNE 24 , 1981 The Given and Dawson funeral homes will soon be joined . The Given Funeral Home INC . will be purchasing the Dawson Funeral Home and will be operated out of the Dawson Funeral Home ’ s current location at 186 Park Ave . Father-and-son directors Robert and Stephen Dawson will continue on as funeral directors at the new location , and the change will not affect current funeral arrangements . William Given , current funeral director at Given , previously worked with the elder Dawson at his family funeral home from 1958 to 1963 .

MONDAY , JUNE 25 , 2001 The 33rd Special Olympics Ohio Summer Games were held over the weekend , and Coshocton ’ s athlete performed well . The 400-meter relay team made of Troy Gibson , Zachary Gonter , Chris Lingo and Aric Richcreek finished third . Gonter also picked up a gold medal in the 200-meter dash and a bronze medal in the 100 . Gibson picked up a silver medal in the 200 . Richcreek earned a bronze medal in the 100 , and Lingo finished fifth in the same race .
WEDNESDAY , JUNE 29 , 2011 The Event was held Saturday at the fairgrounds , and saw local musicians come out and celebrated their devotion to Jesus Christ . A nondenominational event , many Christians gathered in worship . A large number of local , state and national religious figures spoke from the grandstand . Organized by Solid Rock Church ’ s pastor Larry Massie and evangelist Ric Bonice , the goal of the Event was to deepen the faith of believers and reach non-believers .
