You may have just started to celebrate the beginning of summer , but Larry Miller , co-owner of Miller ’ s Gun & Supply in Sugarcreek , suggests you stock up now for your fall hunting needs .

“ Manufacturers of bows , gear and other hunting essentials are on backlogs as long as 16-18 weeks ,” Miller said . “ Time goes fast , and it could be a big mistake to wait until the last minute .”

In the nick of time , Miller and his brother , co-owner Joe Miller , are planning their special 42nd Anniversary Customer Appreciation Sale that can not only get you stocked up for summer and fall sporting , but also save

you some money . The celebration will be held on Friday and Saturday , July 9-10 from 8 a . m . to 5 p . m . ( Friday ) and 8 a . m . to 3 p . m . ( Saturday ).

“ It ’ s an event we hold every year to let our customers know how

much we appreciate their business ,” Larry Miller said . “ We ’ re going to have

specials throughout the store . Representatives from some of your favorite manufacturers will be here to chat , and we ’ re going to have some great door prizes , like $ 500 , $ 300 and $ 200 gift cards and some merchandise .”

Miller ’ s is a one-stop shop for firearms , hunting , fishing and trapping

supplies , clothing , and other outdoors accessories .

“ We recently started to carry other sporting goods , like softball bats and gloves ,” Larry Miller said .

His father , Emery , opened the store in 1979 . When he retired two years ago , his sons , Larry and Joe Miller , took over the operation .

“ It is satisfying to take a successful business and try to build on top of that success ,” Larry Miller said . “ We ’ ve always felt that if we treat people right , they ’ ll keep coming back . We offer competitive pricing and outstanding customer service . Fair prices are key for us right now . With ammo and other

products in short supply , you can be assured that we ’ re not going to take advantage of our customers by gouging . We want to keep our customers for the long-term instead of gaining in the short-term .”
