Community choir has some openings for spring season
Auditions for the Coshocton Community Choir ’ s adult choir spring season are now being scheduled .
“ We have openings in our 100-voice choir in all sections — soprano , alto , tenor and bass — but we especially need second basses , tenors and first sopranos ,” said Charles R . Snyder , the choir ’ s founder and conductor .
The Coshocton Community Choir has members from across Ohio .
Schedule an audition appointment by Wednesday , Jan . 15 by calling the choir office at 740-623-0554 . If there is no answer , leave a message with your name and phone number . A prepared song is not required .
Rehearsals for the April 27 concert will begin Sunday , Jan . 19 at 6:30 p . m . at Emmanuel Lutheran
Get ready to experience Shakespeare like never before . Ridgewood High School will bring a twist to the tragedy “ Hamlet ” with the comedy “ Save Hamlet ,” written by Mark Levine . The play will be performed at the Jill Collins Performing Arts Center on Friday , Jan . 17 at 7 p . m . Tickets are $ 5 .
A parody that pokes fun at the iconic lines , dramatic moments and dark themes of the original , “ Save Hamlet ” turns the traditional tragedy into a roller coaster of laughs .

‘ Save Hamlet ’ to open in the RHS performing arts center
“ Save Hamlet ” follows the basic plot of the original tragedy but with a twist — the background characters wise up , take the serious stuff and turn it upside down for a happy ending .
This is a family show , and tickets will be available at the door .
