Lady Bears roll past Indian Valley
On Dec . 22 the Lady Bears rolled past the Indian Valley Lady Braves 1,844-1,785 in a home match at Legacy Lanes to improve to 4-0 on the season .
Leading the way for the Lady Bears was junior Benni Winland with games of 159 and 201 for a 360 two-game set and senior Madalyn Cutshall with games of 168 and 177 for a 345 twogame set .
RVHS boys pick up first bowling win
On Dec . 22 the Black Bears boys bowling team hosted Indian Valley for a home match . The Black Bears battled their way to the program ’ s very first win , defeating Indian Valley 2,213- 1,909 .
Scores for the Bears were Cameron Collopy , 250 ; Tyler Bryan , 289 ; Caleb Trull , 358 ; TJ Crosby , 322 ; and Austin
LeBeau , leading the way for the Bears with a new two-game series record of 402 . Also contributing to the Bears ’ win was Kaden Arnold with a fantastic bakers game showing .
River View coach Fowler dedicated the first win in the memory and honor of Karen Freedman . “ She loved to talk about bowling and loved the Black Bear community ,” he said . “ It is from watching her work that has inspired me to make a difference in young kids ’ lives . I only hope I can do it half as good as she did .”

Coshocton students are honored as Elks teens

Several Coshocton High School students received Elks Teen of the Month honors .
Hattie Clark is the daughter of Patrick and Bethany Clark . She does volunteer work at NewPointe Community Church and the Green Oak Ministry . She serves as the assistant trainer at the Green Oak Equestrian Center and helps out at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic .
Clark ’ s free time is spent riding horses in English evening competitions . She is undecided as to where she will attend college or what she will major in .
Sophie Meiser is the daughter of Tony and Amanda Meiser . She is a member of the National Honor Society , class president , a Key Club member , a three-year member of the softball team , a three-year academic award winner , is part of the Broadcast Club and volunteers at Kiwanis Pancake Day .
Meiser works at Roscoe Village and was the 2018 Coshocton Canal Queen . She has been a member of the Active Achievers 4-H club since 2014 . Her interests include reading , traveling and playing pickleball . After high school she plans to attend Kent State University and is undecided on a major .
Taylor Moats is the daughter of Jeff and Shelley Moats . She has been active in different clubs and organizations . She is vice president of student council and Key Club , serves as class secretary , is a member of the National Honor Society , and serves as its secretary . She participates on the volleyball and softball teams .
Moats plans to attend a four-year university for premedicine but is undecided where at this time .

Rylee Shrimplin is the daughter of Tony and Megan Shrimplin . She participated in soccer and basketball . She has been involved in 4-H for the last nine years and has served as a camp counselor . During the last four years , she also has been in student council , Varsity C , Key Club , a class officer and was the CHS homecoming queen .
Shrimplin wants to attend a four-year college and earn a degree in education . Upon graduating she would like to join the Peace Corps to teach and then return to teach middle school or high school students .
