Kathy Jo Doughty

Kathy Jo Doughty , 65 , passed away on Tuesday , Jan . 19 , 2021 , at Coshocton Regional Medical Center . Kathy was the light in everyone ’ s lives she touched and was one of the Lord ’ s earthly angels .
Kathy was born on March 25 , 1955 , to the late Herbert and Isabelle Beitzel in New Philadelphia , OH .
Kathy is survived by her husband Robert Doughty , whom she married on Feb . 15 , 1992 , and their two daughters Michelle ( Tyler ) and MacKenzie Doughty . She is also survived by her two sisters , Bonnie Schrock ( Jeff ), Judy ( Butch ) Pollard , brother Ron ( Melanie ) Beitzel , and sisterin-law Karen ( Bill ) Chaney . Kathy also had several nieces , nephews , church friends , and animals friends that will truly miss her .
Kathy is proceeded in death by her son , Caleb Doughty ; her mother and father , Herbert and Isabelle Beitzel ; her in-laws Walter , Lois , and Anne Doughy .
When you think of Kathy , you think of horses and cooking . Those were two of Kathy ’ s passions . Kathy was a quarter horse enthusiast and showed Quarter Horses throughout her whole life . She was a lifetime member of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and was proud to say she attended every Quarter Horse Congress since it had started . Kathy was also an avid baker who made the best cookies , cakes , and desserts for everyone to enjoy . Her favorite cookies to bake were her famous chocolate chip cookies and holiday cut out cookies . Kathy was also a lifetime member of 4-H and Grange .
Kathy cared about everyone and made sure to send out cards for every occasion . Whether it be birthdays , anniversaries , death or even if someone was going through a

rough time . You knew Kathy was thinking of you .
Kathy graduated from New Philadelphia High School and then went to Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute where she graduated with her associates in Lab Animal Research . She worked at Dean Putt ’ s dairy farm while going to school and then after . She then went to work at Dr . Dan Weininger ’ s office to work as a dental assistant . Then she moved to Coshocton to work on the Doughty family farm . Her last position she had was with Roscoe United Methodist Church as a custodian . Kathy took pride in all of her positions and was considered to be a hard , determined worker .
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date at Roscoe United Methodist Church .

Irene Clara Russell

Irene Clara Russell , 86 , of Newark , passed away on Monday , Jan . 18 , 2021 . She was born on Dec . 28 , 1934 , in Coshocton , to the late Everett and Hilda ( Sayre ) Smith .
Irene graduated from Coshocton High School in 1952 and was a homemaker and caregiver most of her life . She was a member of Park United Methodist Church , the Coshocton Moose , the Dover VFW Post 3463 and the Newark Eagles 387 . She enjoyed collecting antiques and going dancing .
On July 11 , 1978 , she married Edward Russell who preceded her in death on Jan . 24 , 2005 .
Irene is survived by her son , Michael ( Marsha ) Reiss of Coshocton ; step-daughter , Brenda ( Steve ) Billman of Newark ; very special dear friend , George Marovich of Newark ; many grandchildren ; sisters-in-law , Margie Smith and Rose Ann Sayre ; special niece and nephew , Sue ( John ) Hayes and Phil ( Gretchen ) Smith , along with many other nieces and nephews ; and special cousin , Carol Fantine .

Calling hours were held on Wednesday , Jan . 27 , 2021 from noon to 1 p . m . at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home . Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 1 p . m . with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating . Burial will follow in Newcomerstown .

Douglas Rodgers

Douglas Rodgers , 59 , of Coshocton passed away on Thursday , Jan . 21 , 2021 at his home after a long battle with diabetes since he was 10-years-old . He was born on Aug . 18 , 1961 in Columbus to Ronald and Alice ( Walters ) Rodgers . He was a 1979 graduate of River View High School .
Along with his mother he is survived by his siblings , Debbie ( Jeff ) Wilson of Columbus , Kathy ( Dale ) Husted of Alabama , and Jeannie ( Scott ) Eaton of Coshocton and several aunts and uncles as well as several nieces and nephews .

Alice Faye Bicknell

Alice Faye Bicknell , 81 , of West Lafayette passed away Wednesday , Jan . 20 , 2021 in Aultman Hospital . She was born on April 9 , 1939 to the late Molly Athleen ( Greene ) and William Riley Taylor . On Sept . 22 , 1992 she married Franklin Bicknell , who survives . Alice was an avid Cleveland Indians sports fan . She was a devoted wife , mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family .
Along with her husband , Alice is survived by her children , Bob ( Amy ) Shaw of Pickerington and Dave ( Elizabeth ) Shaw of California ; grandchildren , Rylie Ingham , Dylanie Schultz , Jazz Shaw , Madison Shaw and Dorothea Shaw ; greatgrandchild , Vinny Schultz and sisters , Shirely Gibson and Linda Phillips as well as several nieces and nephews . Kathryn Louise “ Kate ” Cowden , 86 , of Coshocton , died Sunday , Jan . 17 , 2021 at her home . She was born Sept . 24 , 1934 in Cedar Creek , TN to the late John Henry Collins and Dorothy Merle ( Watson ) ( Collins ) Finley .
Kate was one of the founding members of the line dancing group , Silver Liners . She enjoyed car rides , going to casinos , and traveling . She and her husband

Kathryn Louise ‘ Kate ’ Cowden traveled to 47 states and six countries . She was a talented seamstress .
She is survived by her husband of 65 years , Burney D . Cowden ; daughter , Susan ( Jeff ) Waddle ; son , Bruce Cowden ; two granddaughters , Mollie ( Brian ) Hahn and Kayla Cowden ; greatgrandson , Maxon Hahn ; a great-granddaughter due in May ; and one brother , Dale H . ( Reta ) Collins .
