Coshocton boys fall to
Meadowbrook
The Coshocton seventh-grade boys basketball team played Meadowbrook on Jan . 9 . They lost the game 23-22 . The score after the first quarter was 6-3 ( Coshocton ), at halftime the score was 8-12 ( Meadowbrook ) and 16-21 ( Meadowbrook ) at the end of the third quarter .
Leading Coshocton in scoring was Aiden Garabrandt with eight points , Severn Workman with six points , and Quinten Summers and Cash Ramsey each with four points .
The outcome of the game was not determined until the last shot , which Coshocton ’ s last-second shot just missed the mark as time elapsed .
CHS swimmers take on RVHS
and Dover Coshocton High School swimming competed against River View and Dover on Jan . 4 at The Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium .
Finishing overall individually for the girls were Kendal Jackson , fourth 200 free and fifth in the 400 free ; Ella Duling , fifth 200 free and fourth 100 breast ; Autumn Jones , fourth 100 free and second 100 back ; Chloe Hall , fifth 50 free ; and Ella Baylor , fourth 200 IM .
The girls 200 medley relay of Autumn Jones , Ella Baylor , Kendal Jackson and Chloe Hall placed third , and the 200 free relay of Cady Jackson , Abby McVay , Ella Duling and Ella Baylor placed fourth . To finish , the girls 400 free relay of Cady Jackson , Chloe Hall , Kendal Jackson and Autumn Jones placed second .
Finishing overall individually for the boys were Conner McCabe , seventh 50 free and 100 free ; Ayden Stein , seventh 100 back ; and Jayden Jones , seventh 100 breast .
Coshocton High School swimming then competed against Heath and Lancaster on Jan . 14 at The Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium .

In The Pool

Coshocton and River View swimmers competed head-to-head as well as a full slate of action in the pool .

The 200 free relay of Ella Baylor , Kendal Jackson , Chloe Hall and Autumn Jones finished third .

River View
Lady bowlers beat Garaway
On Jan . 13 the River View Lady Bears bowling team hosted the Garaway Lady Pirates at Legacy Lanes .
The Lady Bears came away with a 2,113-1,865 victory to improve to 5-1 on the season and 4-0 in league play . Leading the way for the Lady Bears were senior Allie Murray with a 202 game and a 372 two-game set , senior Madalyn Cutshall with a solid 352 two-game set , and junior Benni Winland with a 202 game .
On Tuesday night , Jan . 19 , the
River View girls bowling team hosted Maysville at Legacy Lanes .
The Lady Bears rolled to a recordbreaking night , beating the Lady Panthers 2,171-990 . Leading the way for the Lady Bears were Allie Murray tying her own school record with a 267 game , Madalyn Cutshall with a 212 game and Tavia Cooper setting her new personal high game with a 180 . The Lady Bears set a record for high single-game total when they shot an 885 combined game two and a new high two-game total by racking up 1,692 pins in two games .
River View swimmers do well
at home meet
River View High School boys and girls varsity swimming hosted swimmers from Athens , New Philadelphia , Mount Vernon , East Knox and Federal Hocking on Jan . 9 at The Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium . The Black Bears were first overall in combined team scores , and the boys defeated all five teams while also setting a new school record in a relay event .
The 200 free relay of Reas Pepper , Brayden Karr , Coen Bible and JT Roberts won with a new record time of 1:45.59 ( previously 1:45.79 held by the relay of Nate Cooper , Caleb Fischer , RJ Hammond and Jacob Mitchell ). Also winning relay events for the boys were the 200 medley group of Luke Massie , Zachariah Phillips , Cole Tatro and JT Roberts ( 2:01.59 ) and the 400 free of Bible , Brady Philabaum , Tatro and Pepper ( 4:07.82 ).
In individual events , Tatro won the 200 IM ( 2:38.62 ) and was second in the 100 fly ( 1:07.96 ). Pepper won the 50 free ( 26.32 ) and the 100 free ( 58.68 ). Massie won the 100 back ( 1:09.19 ) and was second in the 200 IM ( 2:41.87 ). Karr won the 100 breast ( 1:18.83 ), with Phillips placing ( 1:21.16 ). Philabaum was second in the 100 free ( 1:02.82 ), with Malek Better third ( 1:05.83 ). Bible was second in the 200 free ( 2:17.27 ), and Roberts was third in the 100 back ( 1:13.46 ).
In the girls relay events , the 200 medley group of Raychel Smalley , Britton McCoy , Carolyn Cox and Mary Ann Lozowski placed third ( 2:32.33 ), and the 200 free of Cox , Michaela White , Lozowski and Smalley finished third ( 2:15.93 ).
Individually for the girls , Cox placed third in the 50 free ( 32.00 ), and Lozowski was third in the 400 free ( 6:03.13 ).
