“ Several years ago , Irene contacted me about taking care of some records in that upstairs room that ’ s full of records from the last 100 and more years . There were , I would guess , about 20 boxes of records . Anyway , we agreed to do that ,” said Glenn Kinkade , former president of the Genealogical Society . The society is aiding the Coshocton County Courthouse in its efforts to preserve its records . Stored in the courthouse attic , the records go back to 1811 . The process took over three years , and saw the Genealogical Society make use of grants to purchase microfilming equipment . Stored in the basement of the title office , they worked to convert the records into microfilm . The completed films were sent to the Ohio Historical Society with copies being sent to the Coshocton Public Library and the Clerk of Courts . “ There ’ s a very active genealogical society that does a lot of good things like this project and cares about preserving these kinds of records ,” said Coshocton Library Director Anne Miller . “ Just in our room last year , we had , I think , ( genealogists ) from about 47 states and a couple foreign countries ,” Miller said .

“ Some say the American dream today is just about survival , but it ’ s more than materialism and Dr . King knew this . It ’ s about the freedom to choose how to live your life . It ’ s about doing what you are called to do and being who you are called to be . One day someone will be thankful that you helped make their dream come true or made the world a better place . I hope your dreams are rooted in faith and a relationship with our creator and savior ,” said 31st District of Ohio senator Jay Hottinger . Hottinger is one of the speakers at the third annual Martin Luther King Jr . Prayer Breakfast , which was held on the 19th at the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle . Linda Weber , who performed music at the breakfast , said “ Dr . Martin Luther King had a lot to say about love and he also knew God . The only hope for our country is to put God back in our foundation and live by Godly morals .” Quoting Dr . King read , “ Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend and let no man pull you so low as to hate them .”
