On Dec . 6 the Ridgewood Lady Generals won their first match of the year , defeating TCC 1,686-1,636 in bowling . Freshman Avery Ehasz set a new school record with a 175 high game . Leaders for Ridgewood were Kaydence Lahna with a 142 and 135 for a 277 two-game series , Rilyn Medley with a 113 and 147 for a 260 two-game series and Kaylee Kunze with a 133 and 118 for a 251 two-game series .

On Dec . 9 the Lady Generals defeated the Garaway Lady Pirates at Legacy Lanes 1,578-1,564 . Leaders for Ridgewood were Kaydence Lahna with a 138 and 148 for a 286 two-game series , Rilyn Medley with a 126 and 154 for a 280 two-game series and Harlea Beckett with a 138 and 130 for a 268 two-game series .

On Dec . 12 the Lady Generals fell to the East Canton Hornets 2,105-1,623 at Eastbury Lanes . Leaders for Ridgewood were Kaydence Lahna with a 174 and 144 for a 318 two-game series , Avery Ehasz with a 111 and 146 for a 257 two-game series and Harlea Beckett with a 125 and 125 for a 250 two-game series . On Dec . 16 the Lady Generals fell to the Indian Valley Lady Braves 1,720-1,569 . Leading the way for the Lady Generals were Kaydence Lahna with a 155 and 168 for a 323 two-game series , Harlea Beckett with a 153 and 136 for a 289 two-game series and Kaylee Kunze with a 120 and 126 for a 246 two-game series .

The Lady Generals will be back in action on Saturday , Jan . 4 , when they participate in the River View Invitational at Legacy Lanes .

River View

The River View swim teams swam against five schools at a meet hosted by Tri-Valley at the Muskingum County YMCA on Dec . 18 . The girls defeated Ridgewood and St . Clairsville while losing to Tri-Valley and Lancaster . The boys won head-to-head against Ridgewood , St . Clairsville and Licking Valley while falling to Tri-Valley and Lancaster .

Placing in the top three in girls events were the firstplace 400 yard freestyle relay of Ally Fischer , Kynsingten McMasters , Lily Grewell and Riley Gottardi ( 4:28.46 ); the second-place 200 medley relay of Fischer , Grewell , Gottardi and Britany Hammond ( 2:13.91 ); Gottardi ,

first in both the 100 butterfly ( 1:08.37 ) and the 100 backstroke ( 1:09.378 ); Grewell , second in the 100 breaststroke ( 1:22.72 ) and third in the 200 individual medley ( 2:46.06 ); and Fischer , third in the 100 free ( 1:06.74 ). Jamison Adams placed third ( 1:03.95 ) in the 100 back for the boys .

River View swimmers then traveled to Wheeling University on Dec . 21 to compete in the annual Red Devil Invitational , hosted by St . Clairsville . The Black Bears placed third overall out of 11 teams in the girls events , and the boys placed seventh out of 10 .

Medals were awarded to the top three in each event .

For the girls , Riley Gottardi won the 100 yard butterfly ( 1:07.80 ) and the 100 backstroke ( 1:10.32 ); Lily Grewell placed third in the 200 individual medley ( 2:42.59 ); the 200 medley relay of Ally Fischer , Grewell , Gottardi and Britany Hammond was third ( 2:12.72 ); and the 400 freestyle relay of Fischer , Kynsingten McMasters , Grewell and Gottardi also placed third ( 4:24.92 ). Medaling for the boys was Jamison Adams , who placed third in the 100 back ( 1:03.51 ).
