FRIDAY , JAN . 6 , 1972 Coshocton born artist Matt Clark passed away yesterday . The Coshocton native and CHS graduate was born in 1903 , and married another Coshocton native , Kathryn Speckman Clark . Clark ’ s illustrations could be found in magazines of all kinds from fiction to non-fiction , to speculative and trendy . He is survived by his wife , their son and his three children , and his sister , Mrs . Knight Clift . His brother and fellow artist , Benton Clark , passed away at the age of 67 in 1964 .

FRIDAY , JAN . 8 , 1982 The Lady Generals went to Berlin and came out winners over Hiland ’ s team . The win , with a final score of 52-27 , puts Ridgewood at 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the IVC . The team was led by Barb Arney with 21 points and followed by Diane Croy with 10 , the only other General with double digits .
TUESDAY , JAN . 7 , 1992 The Redskins are now 1-for-1 on the mat following their visit to Newcomerstown . Nine Coshocton wrestlers scored wins , three of them by pin . Jesse Conrad , Ryan Cox and Steve Harsh each pinned their opponent ; Travis Corbett and B . J . Watson both won by decision and Brian Baughman , Tyler Dobson , Adam Entrekin and Chad Grossenbaugh each won by default .
MONDAY , JAN . 7 , 2002 A new scholarship has been established to honor Penny Brenneman Cline , the Clodaugh Brenneman Cline Scholarship . Penny , who passed away last year , graduated from Warsaw High School in 1937 . The scholarship will award $ 1,000 to a RVHS student based on scholastic and social performance , and also attended Warsaw Elementary . The awardee has not been selected as of yet . “ My wife and her five brothers attended Warsaw School , so when she passed away I decided it would be a way to show gratitude to that area ,” said former Tribune reporter , and surviving husband of Penny , Al Cline ..
WEDNESDAY , JAN . 18 , 2012 After 33 years at River View High School , recently named athletics director Rod Lindsey will be named to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association . The ceremony is set to take place on the 20th of this month and will see him inducted along with three others . Lindsey was named to his new position last June following 32 years as a coach at the school , 20 of which he spent as head coach . 380 wins , six sectionals , two district championships and one ECOL title have been acquired over his tenure .
