The Coshocton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogy Society held its 24th annual banquet at the Frontier Power meeting room on Dec . 21 .

There are four categories to become inducted into the Coshocton Genealogy Society including First Family , Pioneer Family , Century Family and Civil War Family of Coshocton . The date to qualify for Coshocton First Family begins Jan . 1 , 1831 , Pioneer Families on Jan . 1 , 1851 . Each class was presented with certificates and pins representing both 2020 and 2021 due to the banquet being canceled last year .

Zip for induction in 2020 when Tucker was only 2 years old , making him the youngest member approved for all four lineages . Lineage Society equals direct descendant . Tucker is the secondyoungest person to be inducted into the genealogy society . Robert Spano was 5 months old in 1997 when he was approved for First Family and Pioneer Family with his mother , grandmother and great-grandmother .

Jennings , 1841 , and inducted as Century Family through Kenneth “ Tip ” Leroy Jennings , 1914 ; Melvin B Jennings , 1882 ; Mable Jane Chubb , 1885 ; Jehu Chubb , 1880 ; Louisa Mizer , 1863 ; Enos Chubb , 1880 ; and Catherine Snyder , 1880 .

Kenneth and Tucker Jennings were inducted Civil War Family as well in February 2020 .

First Family inductions also were presented to Alicey Yvonne Wright Lahna and Jennifer Sue Lahna , both of Coshocton ; Ronald Louis Williams of Coshocton ; and Donis Rainey Wolfe from Huntsville , Alabama .

Pioneer Family inductions included Ronald Louis Williams , Donis Rainey Wolfe , Alicey Yvonne Wright Lahna , Jennifer Sue Lahna and Debra Kay Lawrence Brill .

Williams , Barbara Joan Wolfe Sheets , MaryJane Dobson Mitchell , Alicey Yvonne Wright Lahna and Jennifer Sue Lahna .

Civil War Family included Donis Rainey Wolfe , Alicey Yvonne Wright Lahna and Jennifer Sue Lahna .

The banquet dinner was catered by Wendy Schumaker of Schumaker Farms . Immediately following the dinner , Karen Wright announced installation of officers and recognized Bob Ashcraft , who just passed away .

“ Kathy Carnes did an excellent job designing the programs . There are 198 members scattered over the U . S ., approximately , and 50 local members in this area including West Lafayette , Fresno and Newcastle ,” President Joan Sheets said . “ It ’ s nice that more young people are becoming interested in volunteering and taking offices in the program . We welcome young people who would like to join our society .”

The genealogy society meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p . m . at the Coshocton Public Library .

Marietta College ’ s Tucker Nelson of Coshocton was one of 16 students who volunteered at one or more of three college football games this winter .

Nelson , who is majoring in sports management , assisted with a
