River View hosts Math Counts event for 6th - 8th

Math Counts provides math programs to middle school students in sixth grade through eighth grade of all ability levels to build confidence and improve attitudes about math and problemsolving .
River View School District had its local competition on Jan . 31 , with 27 students competing at the RV Intermediate School . Many awards were handed out by Mr . Hogue and Mrs . Moran including team awards ; seventh , eighth and sixth grade awards ; and top overall awards .
The results were as follows :
— Sixth grade award winners : George Newell , first place ; Owen White ,
