REACT has served Coshocton since 1965
REACT has been active in Coshocton since 1965 and is currently led by Tim Wise , who has been president for the last 19 years .
“ I started with RE- ACT in 1975 after the fire at Mineral Fiber ,” Wise said . “ I joined RE- ACT to help local police , sheriff and fire and help with parades and traffic control . We have also parked cars for fairs ,

festivals and security details .”
Originally , the team used CB Radio channel 9 to communicate with each other and police and fire .
“ As time went on and the Coshocton Police Department disband and we worked with the sheriff department , we got radios to talk direct to sheriff and fire and county fire departments ,” Wise said .

REACT is a nonprofit organization and relies on donations to keep the team going . They have 26 members , and about 14 of those are active .

Although they don ’ t look thrilled to be having their picture taken , they ’ re actually very sweet , playful girls . They ’ re about 6 months old , spayed , and will be ready for adoption mid-February after they receive their immunization boosters . They get along great together and with other cats .
