Elizabeth “ Beth ” Florence Clary , 91 , of Coshocton , passed away on Friday , Feb . 11 , 2022 . She was born on July 9 , 1930 , in Hinsdale , Illinois to the late Wallace and Marion ( Coulton ) Brandel .

On April 7 , 1957 , she married Lawrence “ Larry ” Clary who passed away in 1986 .

Beth worked for the Coshocton County Engineer ’ s Office for 25 years as the secretary before retiring . She also enjoyed working with her husband , Larry , at Clary Brother ’ s Florist , which opened in 1907 by Larry ’ s grandfather . Larry ’ s father then opened the Clary Brother ’ s Greenhouse and she enjoyed working in the greenhouse and flower business until it closed in 2010 . Beth was proud to continue the Clary Brother ’ s legacy by establishing Clary Gardens .

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends .

Beth is survived by her brother , James Brandel of Jacksonville , FL ; several nieces and nephews , Ric Brandel , Karin ( Mike ) Gorius , Linnet ( Gary ) Lowe , Beverly ( John ) Tatro , Bruce ( Emily ) Brandel , Kathy ( Jackson ) Dunlap , and April Brandel ; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews .

Along with her parents and husband , Beth is preceded in death by her two brothers , Dick and Ralph Brandel ; three sisters-in-law , Florence , Dorothy and Laura Brandel ; and nephew , Jimmy Brandel .

Calling hours were held on Tuesday , Feb . 22 , 2022 , from 11 a . m . to noon at Given-Dawson- Paisley Funeral Home . Funeral services were at the funeral home at noon with Pastor Craig Redecker officiating . Burial followed at South Lawn Cemetery .

For those who wish , memorial donations may be made in Beth ’ s name to Clary Gardens , Grace United Methodist Church or to our local Red Cross . Envelopes will be provide at the funeral home .

The Warsaw Alumni Association is offering scholarships to River View graduating seniors who attended Warsaw Elementary School .

These scholarships will be for $ 1,000 from Warsaw Alumni Association : Clodaugh Brenneman Cline Scholarship , Lawrence Memorial Scholarship , Davis Educational Grant , Buxton Memorial Award , and Conrad Family Memorial Scholarship . In the past several families of the community and honor classes have also donated additional scholarships which will be offered if they become available . The purpose of these awards is to encourage graduates to pursue higher education .

These awards are made available through donations by graduates , teachers and friends of Warsaw High School and our community . Persons desiring to donate to this scholarship program should contact

Applications are also available from Jim Lawrence , chairperson of the scholarship program , at 740-824- 3890 . The application deadline is Friday , March 25 . The Cline Scholarship is coordinated through the Coshocton Foundation and is available online .

These scholarships will be presented at the annual Warsaw Alumni Banquet to be held in May . Recipients will also be recognized at the River View Senior Awards Program .
