The Binning Dairy Bar , 222 North 2nd St . Coshocton , had a new name and new operators . Pat and Don ’ s Dairy Bar , owned by Pat and Don Albertson , promised to serve up the same great selection of lunches and dinners as before .
FEBRUARY 12 , 1967
It had been 36 years since Pretty Products came to Coshocton , and in that time quite a lot had happened . It has octupled its workforce , now standing at 510 , and seen its rubber and plastic mats travel the country and world .
FEBRUARY 12 , 1977
As the league championship drew ever closer , Ridgewood secured its 14th consecutive win and its 23rd that season with its 72-53 victory over Malvern . Coshocton continued onwards as well with the Redskins ’ defeat of Wooster , 84-61 , and if they won against Mansfield Malabar that night , they might even make it to the Cardinal Conference Championships . Despite the Muskingum Valley Generals and their clever plays , River View squeaked by with a 33-30 win .
FEBRUARY 16 , 1987
A great expedition was being prepared by Newcomerstown native Don Keating . He was assembling three large teams of people to hunt down “ Bigfoot ” following a Sasquatch sighting in Coshocton County . Reports of the ape-man wandering along state route 541 and several places between West Lafayette and Plainfield had sparked a great deal of interest .

Leadership Coshocton County announces new alumni council chair

COSHOCTON - Leadership Coshocton County Alumni Council is pleased to announce Shannon Shontz , LCC Class of 2014 , as the next Council Chair . Shontz is employed by the Coshocton County Board of Development Disabilities as the director of education . She began working for the County Board in 2005 as a preschool teacher and has been the director since 2011 . She and her husband Wes are originally from New
Philadelphia but have lived in Coshocton for two years , where they are excited to be raising three sons .
She replaces Bee Lehner , LCC 1994 , who had been alumni council chair for several years and is ready to

BW men ’ s and women ’ s track teams compete

HILLSDALE , MICH . – The Baldwin Wallace University men ’ s and women ’ s indoor track and field teams competed at the unscored two-day Hillsdale College Wide Classic in the Margot V . Biermann Athletic Center .
Freshman distance runner Bella Pendola ( Warsaw / River View ) placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run and eighth in the 800-meter run . Pendola finished with career-best times of 10:50.37 in the 3,000-meter run and 2:29.36l in the 800-meter run .

Students achieve in SkillsUSA

COSHOCTON - On Feb . 6 , the Career Center Cosmetology program had the local SkillsUSA competition . The following students earned achievements : Junior Class : 1st Place- Megan Stonebraker 2nd Place- Chyann Page 3rd Place- Breezie Brewer Senior Class : 1st Place- Peyton Taylor 2nd Place- Maddie Jackson 3rd Place- Shelby Maple Peyton Taylor and Jocelynn Corbett have earned the right to advance to the Regional Competition that will be held on Feb . 25 at C-TEC in Newark .
