Dance helps PTO raise funds The PTO at Keene Elementary put together what they said was the first ever

father daughter dance for River View schools . “ We have about 142 girls in the school and about half of them came ,” said Morgan Hammond , PTO president . “ My heart is on overload right now . This is awesome . I never imagined this for our first year .” The school ’ s gym was full of fathers and daughters dancing , having fun and enjoying refreshments . Jillian Johnson ’ s favorite part of the evening was dancing with her stepfather Allen Angle . Proceeds from the dance will help the PTO with updates to the school ’ s playground . Swimmers moving on to districts

STEUBENVILLE – Several swimmers from Coshocton and River View high schools are moving on after strong finishes at the sectional swimming meet held Feb . 11 at Steubenville High School .
Girls who qualified for the district meet at The Ohio State University include : 500 freestyle – Emily Casey ( CHS ); 100 backstroke – Shawna Shroyer ( RVHS ); 100 breaststroke – Lindsey Ashcraft ( RVHS ); 100 butterfly – Emily Casey ( CHS ); 200 individual medley – Lindsey Ashcraft ( RVHS ); 200 freestyle relay – RVHS ; 400 freestyle relay RVHS and CHS ; and 200 medley relay – RVHS . Boys who qualified are : 50 freestyle – Nate Cooper ( RVHS ) and Jake Mitchell ( RVHS ); 200 freestyle – Dylan Harsh ( RVHS ); 500 freestyle – Dylan Harsh ( RVHS ); 100 backstroke – Nate Cooper ( RVHS ); 100 breaststroke – Caleb Fischer ( RVHS ); 100 butterfly – Caleb Fischer ( RVHS ) and Jake Mitchell ( RVHS ); 200 freestyle relay – RVHS ; 400 freestyle relay – RVHS ; 200 medley relay – RVHS .

Capital Prosthetics & Orthotics Center suffers file theft

ZANESVILLE - On Dec . 12 , 2016 , Capital Prosthetic & Orthotic Center , Inc . was the victim of a storage locker theft that occurred at Brandywine Lock-N-Stock , in which thieves stole patient files stored in a storage locker rented by Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc .
A police report was immediately filed with the Zanesville police and an investigation commenced . On Dec . 21 , 2016 , Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . was contacted by the Genoa Township Police Department after they recovered several boxes containing missing patient files . The Genoa Township Police Department case is still active .
Upon learning of this theft , Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . promptly initiated an internal review to determine the scope of the information contained in the storage locker . At this time , Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . has no evidence that the information has been used for fraudulent purposes .
The storage locker that was broken into contained patient files for patients seen between 2008 and 2012 at the Zanesville office of Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . Patient information contained in the patient files may have included name , address , date of birth , phone number , social security number , medical diagnosis / treatments and insurance information . The total of 1,134 affected individuals reside in Ohio .
In compliance with its obligations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ( HIPAA ) and applicable state law , Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic
Center , Inc . has informed all affected individuals of this incident through a letter mailed with the United States Postal Service . Additionally , Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . is offering all individuals affected by this incident one year of complimentary credit monitoring services from Experian . Capital Prosthetic and Orthotic Center , Inc . has also notified all required governmental agencies and credit bureaus .

Additionally , all patient files that are not located in the Zanesville office have been moved to a more secure storage facility , which includes additional security measures to minimize the chance that such an incident could occur again .
