gram that started at the Coshocton Christian School.
Several younger members of the group are pictured
demonstrating their skills during half-time of a high

“It’s been going well this year,” Egbert said. “I have a
love for team sports. I think they are really good for kids.
Th ey learn about teamwork and they help them stay
active and in shape.”
She added that they also focus on sportsmanship.
“We want to be Christ like in how we play and honor

School, but now thanks to her eff orts children as young
as 4 can enjoy the sport there.
Th e school’s new biddy basketball program, the Wild-
cat Wonders, includes children from preschool to junior
high.
“My son Isaiah is in preschool there and he likes
basketball,” Egbert said. “I wanted to give him and other
kids the opportunity to play more. It’s good for the pro-
gram too because hopefully the kids will be able to play
at a higher level when they get older.”
Between 25 and 30 children are involved with the
Wildcat Wonders. Th ey are coached by Egbert with
the help of Amanda Hamilton, Jessica Hamilton, Chad
Gress, and Mandee Adams.
“We meet one time a week and work on the basics for
basketball,” Egbert said. “We want to get them famil-
iar with dribbling, passing and shooting form. I think
everyone has improved a little already.”
Th e Wildcat Wonders have demonstrated their skills
at some of the high school basketball games. Th eir fi nal
performance will be held during the Wildcats’ Tuesday,
Feb. 12 game, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
