Edward and Charlene began their lives
together in the Adams Mills area on the
family farm. Edward was the second son
of Denny and Mildred Balo Ross, and
Charlene was the daughter of Charles and
Marguerite Riley of Frazeysburg. Edward
graduated from Jefferson High School in
Dresden in May 1943 and Charlene from
Frazeysburg High School in May 1944.
They were blessed with three sons: Jim,
Don and Charles.
Edward, along with his brother David
and mother, formed Ross Bros Trucking in
1955 with one mack truck and hauled pri-
marily coal for the next 65 years. Don and
Charles would eventually succeed Edward
in the business while Jim was called to the
ministry.
Through the years God would bless
Edward and Charlene with grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Over the years
they’ve also been active with the grange,
Masons, Eastern Star, bridge club and
school activities. They lived in the Adams
Mills area at the business, as well as in
Coshocton, and have spent many winters

The couple will celebrate their 75th 25, 1945, and their love has grown over a span of
