Caring Essentially program will be starting back up

Caring Essentially for Coshocton will start up again on Saturday , Feb . 20 at Central Christian Church / St . John ’ s .
From 10-11:30 a . m . people will be able to drive up to or walk up to the church to receive a prepacked bag of personal hygiene items , cleaning supplies , laundry detergent and / or bleach . The church building will not be open .
Masks must be worn by all , and social distancing will be practiced . To further help minimize contact , no ID or proof of address will be required . Participants , however , cannot attend both this event and Martha ’ s Cupboard .
In case of bad weather , cancellations will be posted on WTNS .
“ We are looking forward to seeing old friends as well as new faces ,” said Kay Dunfee , who assists with the event .

Hospice seeking rays of sunshine

Community Hospice needs help to provide Project Sunshine to patients and their caregivers . Project Sunshine is a year-round initiative driven by individuals , community groups or organizations that provide small gifts to brighten the lives of those receiving hospice services .
Examples of gift ideas include but are not limited to treat bags , handmade sewing projects , handwritten cards of encouragement , and gift bags / baskets with small items such as lotions , lip balm , nail polish and snack bars . No gift is too small .
Additionally , the organization also is looking for community members to add to the volunteer program . If you desire to support a local nonprofit organization or have a passion for helping provide care and support to those most in need , consider becoming a volunteer . Due to the challenges of COVID , Community Hospice is offering online training and having many volunteering opportunities that keep health and safety in mind .
