Bazaars
Frazeysburg Holiday Bazaar: The Frazeysburg Lion’s Club is
hosting a holiday bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. at the Frazeysburg Elementary School, 120 East Third St.
at the east end of town. There will be handmade crafts, can-
dies, baked goods, and other items. Food will also be served.

Cub Scouts: On Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a
meeting at the East School for the purpose of establishing a
Cub Scout Pack in Newcomerstown. The mission of Scouts
BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral
choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values
of the scout oath and law. Cub Scouting is open to all youth,
boys and girls, in grades K-5. If you are interested in helping
re-establish the Cub Scouts in our area, plan on attending.

Breakfast Buffet: The West Lafayette Lions will have a break-
fast buffet on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the West
Lafayette United Methodist Church. Cost is $8 for adults, $4
for children, and children under two eat for free. The menu
includes pancakes, sausage, French toast, scrambled eggs.,
orange juice, and coffee.
Historical Club Meeting: “The History of Christmas Tradi-
tions” will be the theme for the Coshocton Historical Club
which meets Monday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. Bee Lehner will present
this holiday program, and the roll call will be “your favorite
Christmas ornament.” Team members responsible for this
meeting are Brenda Davis, Bee Lehner, Joyce Mullet, and Lula
Williams who will have devotions. Dessert will be enjoyed by
all. Visitors welcome.
SWCD Meeting: The Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation
District will meet Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. for a monthly board
meeting. Meetings are held at the office, 724 S. Seventh St.
Meetings are always held the second Wednesday of the
month. Schedules are subject to change.
Chili Cook-Off: The Royal Butterflies Relay for Life Team will
be hosting a chili cook-off and quarter auction at RHDD, 1517
Chestnut St., Coshocton, on Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon to
4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Royal Butterflies Relay for
Life Team’s effort. The chili cook-off fee is $5 for participant.

Mental Health Support: NAMI Coshocton County will host
a family and friends support and education event featuring
Frank and Cece Cugliari, who will share their stories about
having family members with mental health illness on Monday,
Dec. 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the grand central station room
at the Coshocton County Regional Medical Center. For more

Make It, Take It: Saturday, Dec. 21 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., youth
in grades kindergarten through eighth are invited to the
Coshocton Community Center to prepare a mosaic tile can-
dle base along with gift box and a card. This is a free event.
However, make a reservation on the Coshocton Community
Center’s Facebook page or call Emmanuel Lutheran Church
at 740-622-2550.
Volunteers Needed: COAD/ RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer

Raffle Tickets: The Royal Butterflies Relay for Life Team will
be selling raffle tickets for the makings of a Thanksgiving
dinner, Christmas dinner, and Easter dinner. The drawings
will take place at least one week before each holiday. Tickets
are $5 each or five or $20 and can be mixed or matched.

hioRocks meets on Saturdays at the community center on
Browns Lane from 1 - 2:30 p.m. for rock painting and posting

Food for Fines, Coshocton Public Library, West Lafayette
Branch Library, Dec. 2 – 30: During the month of December,
the Coshocton Public Library and West Lafayette Branch
Library will waive overdue fines on your library record when
you bring a non-perishable food donation for people or pets.
This offer only applies to overdue fines. It does not include
lost or damaged items. Donations will go to the Salvation
Army Food Pantry or Coshocton County Animal Shelter.

Featured Art Exhibit, West Lafayette Branch Library, Dec.
2 – 30: Original artwork is featured monthly at the West
Lafayette Branch Library by area artists. The featured artist

The Books Galore Book Store has gently used books, DVDs,
videos, and magazines for sale at rock bottom prices. The
bookstore is in the basement of the Coshocton Public Library
and operated by the Friends of the Library. All proceeds
benefit the Coshocton Public Library, West Lafayette Branch
Library, and Bookmobile. It is open to the public for cash
sales only. The elevator at the Coshocton Public Library
is temporarily out of service, so please be aware that the
bookstore can only be accessed by the stairs. We apologize
for the inconvenience.
Senior Center Book Club, Coshocton Senior Center,
Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1 – 2 p.m.: Join the Coshocton Public
Library at the Coshocton Senior Center, 201 Browns Lane, for
a book discussion led by Holli Rainwater. We meet at 1 p.m. on
the first Wednesdays of September through December and
February through May. Books are always better when shared
among friends! Registration is not required.
Plugged and Unplugged, Coshocton Public Library: Large
Meeting Room, Wednesdays, Dec. 4, 11, and 18,
2:30 - 5 p.m.: Games, snacks, friends, and fun! Teens grades
7 through 12 are invited to gather at the library for video
games, internet access, board games, crafting, or just to
hangout. This free weekly event is partially sponsored by

Chi Class, Roscoe United Methodist Church: Gym,
Thursdays, Dec. 5 and 12, 10 - 11 a.m.: Join the Coshocton
Public Library at the Roscoe United Methodist Church Gym
to practice gentle exercises that reduce stress and increase
vitality. Chi Class is taught by Holli Rainwater, a Certified Tai
Chi Easy Practice Leader. Registration is not required.
Holiday Open House, West Lafayette Branch Library, Satur-
day, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Mingle and jingle with family and
friends at the West Lafayette Branch Library Holiday Open
House. Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, a holiday craft, music, and
a door prize drawing. Come and have fun before the West
Lafayette Christmas parade, which will go past the branch
library at 1 p.m. This holiday celebration is held in conjunction
with the West Lafayette Chamber of Commerce ‘Christmas in
the Village’ community event.
Coffee Club, Presbyterian Church parlor, 142 N. Fourth
Street, Coshocton, Monday, Dec. 9, 10 – 11:30 a.m.: Senior
adults 55 and older are invited to join us for a hot cup of
coffee and enlightening conversation. We explore a different
topic each month: Armchair travel, history, biography, art,
literature, popular culture, and more. The December topic is
“Christmas in Old Salem.” Join us for the fun and fellowship.

ual assistance is available for those needing help with an app
