The mission of Scouts BSA is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the scout oath and law. Breakfast Buffet: The West Lafayette Lions will have a break- fast buffet on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children, and children under two eat for free. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, French toast, scrambled eggs., orange juice, and coffee. Historical Club Meeting: “The History of Christmas Tradi- tions” will be the theme for the Coshocton Historical Club which meets Monday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. Bee Lehner will present this holiday program, and the roll call will be “your favorite Christmas ornament.” Team members responsible for this meeting are Brenda Davis, Bee Lehner, Joyce Mullet, and Lula Williams who will have devotions. Dessert will be enjoyed by all. Visitors welcome. SWCD Meeting: The Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District will meet Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. for a monthly board meeting. Chili Cook-Off: The Royal Butterflies Relay for Life Team will be hosting a chili cook-off and quarter auction at RHDD, 1517 Chestnut St., Coshocton, on Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon to 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Royal Butterflies Relay for Life Team’s effort.
