Emmanuel Lutheran Church members assembled goodie bags with a cutie and assorted candies and signed and decorated cards for each of the residents .
On Dec . 20 a handful of Emmanuel Lutheran Church members went caroling outside the windows of residents of the Coshocton Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center .
“ It was a joy to see the smiles on their faces , and many sang along with us ,” Pastor Bryan Kittner said . “ They were very appreciative .”
Members also assembled goodie bags with a cutie and assorted candies and signed and decorated cards for each of the residents .
“ We also provided lots of snacks , beverages and two large fruit baskets with candy for the evening and day shifts to enjoy during the week of Christmas ,” Kittner said . “ We wanted them to know how much we appreciate what they do for the elderly and most vulnerable people in our community during these challenging times . It ’ s important to show the love and joy of Jesus in concrete ways . It
was a way to say thank you and Merry Christmas . We keep them in our prayers and ask God ’ s blessing .”
Funding for the project was provided through a grant from Thrivent Financial Services .
