1 . Bancroft Park on South 11th Street was torn down and completely renovated . The project was bid out and won by William Albert Excavating , Inc .
2 . Lyn Mizer , director of United Way of Coshocton , was happy to mark on the thermometer that the agency had reached a 100 percent of its fundraising goal of $ 395,000 .

3 . Mary Knicely sent 76 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to her son-in-law in Afghanistan with the help of donations from numerous people . The cookies were distributed to troops serving with 1SG Jason McCormick , who is with the Army ’ s B-TRP , 3-89 CAV , 4 / 10 Mt . out of Fort Polk in Louisiana . McCormick is a 1998 graduate of Coshocton High School .
4 . Beth Brougher , center , is pictured using FaceTime with her biological mother Linda Chilcote who put Beth up for adoption . Beth discovered her biological family when adoption records for children born between Jan . 1 , 1964 and Sept . 18 , 1996 were unsealed March of 2015 . She is pictured with Principal Jerry Olinger who was approached by Jim Woodson who wanted to give students a $ 50 bill and his only instruction was for them to use it to make someone else happy .

7 . 2016 Coshocton County Dairy Princess Belle Norman , 2016 Coshocton County Dairy Queen Augusta Kinzel and 2016 Coshocton County Dairy King Dalton Cunningham . 2015 Coshocton County Fair Dairy Showmen were honored at the annual Dairy Banquet with a certificate and a program honoring several long-time dairy farmers from Coshocton County .
8 . The Coshoctonian award recognizes an individual ’ s long term contribution to the well-being and economic climate of the community and this year ’ s recipient was Kathy Thompson . She was presented with the award April 15 at the annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner . Thompson is the daughter of 2006 Coshoctonian award winner Richard Baker .
9 . The 2016 UKC Hunting Beagle Nationals were held in Coshocton the last weekend in April with a local pair of beaglers making the final cast .
