SUNDAY , DEC . 13 , 1970 The Queen ’ s Court Beauty Salon in Pleasant Valley has a new manager . Pam Wright , graduate of RVHS and former operator of the Stylette Salon , is the store ’ s new manager . The change comes following the owner , Martha Shaffer , moving to Lexington , Ohio . In addition to Mrs . Wright there nine other operators at the salon ; Ms . Pam Schleich , Ms . Connie Pushing , Mrs . Janie Guilliams , Ms . Agnes Winger , Mrs . Mary Barrick , Mrs . Karen Brelsford , Mrs . Susie Laughlin and Mrs . Sharon Snow . SUNDAY , DEC . 14 , 1980 The first home meet was held by CHS , and they emerged from the pool victorious . Zanesville ’ s Blue Devils were soundly beaten 114-51 . Co-captain Bill Clark scored another school record , this time in the back stroke with a time of 1:06.39 and was on the winning medley relay team . Diana Olinger scored the most points of the night with wins in the 200 individual medley , 400 freestyle and a win on the same medley relay team . Matt Andrews was also on that medley win and scored a win in 100 butterfly and was on the winning team for the 400 free relay . Mike Andrews won in the 200 free . Greg Mason won in the 100 breast stroke . Dan Derby won in the 50 free . Wendi Freeman won her third straight diving performance and pushed her total score past the 200 mark . Todd Thornsley finished second place in diving . THURSDAY , DEC . 13 , 1990 In a surprise move the River View Black Bears beat John Glenn on the mat 45-22 . Warsaw walked away sweeping nine of 13 weight classes . Joy McGinnis ( 103 ), Mike Bryan ( 135 ) Abe Collins ( 145 and Chad Cunningham ( heavyweight ) won by pin and both Mike Shoulta ( 140 ) and Gary O ’ Bryon won by technical falls 16-1 and 17-2 respectively . Earl Lucas ( 112 ) won 19-10 , Travis Jackson ( 130 ) won 11-2 and Chad Moran ( 160 ) won 17-2 . MONDAY , DEC . 11 , 2000 From South Zanesville to New Lexington , trains will roll , and they will roll through Coshocton County . The newly rebuilt Ohio Central Railroad will see trains once again move through the county , but more importantly ferry coal from Perry county to the Conesville power plant . Don Damron , rail planner of the Ohio Rail Development Commission , said that it will start with one or two trains per day , but could increase up to as many as four . WEDNESDAY , DEC . 15 , 2010 “ Taste for the Holidays ,” a cooking demonstration put on by The Village Pantry of Roscoe and the Warehouse Steak ‘ n Stein was held at the Triple Locks Theater . Chefs Justin Wells and Colin Kotab , of the Warehouse , showed the audience how to make a holiday pork loin in cider with a ginger apricot glaze . On the side they made brown bread stuffing with fruit , green beans with nuts and creme fraiche . Desert was chocolate ganache . “ We wanted to bring some festivity and some ideas to local people even out of town people ,” said Jenny Wilson of The Village Pantry . “ We treasure the holiday , and cooking and family and the whole even so we wanted to add this into everyone ’ s home . We are so grateful for the Triple Locks Theater- they offered the building when we called . We took advantage of the decorations and the festive time of year to host this cooking event at the theater .”
