Donis Pope , 84 , of Coshocton passed away Monday , Dec . 7 , 2020 at his home . He was born in Coshocton County on Jan . 1 , 1936 to the late Howard and Ana ( Hoffman ) Pope .
Donis aka “ Rab ” graduated from Roscoe High School in 1954 and served in the Army Reserves . He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Clows 30 plus years before retiring . He loved NASCAR and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan . He also enjoyed tractor pulling . In his retirement years he loved cruising around the county back roads sightseeing , visiting friends and grabbing an ice cream cone . Donis was a loving husband , father and grandfather ; he absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren , they were the light of his life .

Dwain Matthew Gress

Dwain Matthew Gress , 53 , passed away Saturday , Dec . 5 , 2020 . He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and was a John Philip Sousa Award Winner . He was involved in Whitehall Boy Scout Troop # 861 .
Dwain is survived by Robin Gress , mother of his children ; son , Paul Gress ; daughter Jessica Gress ; sister , Darlene Gress ; brother , Dan ( Chris ) Gress ; and loved by many nieces , nephews , great nieces , and great nephews . He was preceded in death by parents , Elmer and Clarellen Gress ; and daughter , Hope Gress .

Along with is parents he is preceded in death by his infant twin daughters ; siblings , Margaret ( Glenn ) Adams , Joyce ( Gene ) Guthrie , Gladys ( Robert ) Ogle , Gene Pope , Reva Jones , and an infant brother .
The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their kindness and compassion throughout this process .

Linda Overholt , 68 , of Coshocton , passed away on Sunday , Dec . 6 , 2020 , after a long and challenging series of health issues faced with her usual spirit , spunk and courage . She was born July 10 , 1952 , in Coshocton to the late Delmar and Ruth Casey .
Happily married 35 years to Brent Overholt , who survives , Linda enjoyed her life as a selfdescribed “ domestic goddess .” She retired from an earlier career in retail sales and management , including work with the M . O ’ Neil Company in Coshocton and later Shaw Barton . This past March , both Linda and Brent lost his mother , Carma , at age 99 .
Linda especially loved people , travel , cats , gardening and good food . She was very active on Facebook , making long-lasting friends

Thomas ‘ Tom ’ Dean Scott

Thomas “ Tom ” Dean Scott , 75 , passed away on Monday , Dec . 7 , 2020 holding hands with the love of his life as he often did , at Union Hospital . His life was cut short due to complications from an unsuccessful surgery at Ohio State University , causing a stroke and eventually succumbing to COVID-19 .
Tom was born on February 10 , 1945 in Trumbull County to the late Dean and Elsie ( Penn ) Baer Scott . A graduate of Youngstown State University , his early career included working in the banking industry and managing a racquetball facility . The remainder of his career ( 40 + years ) entailed working in the human resources field , as well as serving in a parttime capacity as Safety Coordinator for the City of Coshocton until January 2020 .
As a young man he excelled in basketball and baseball . An avid Ohio State Buckeye ( also known

as Mr . Buckeye ) and Cleveland Indians fan he loved golfing in his spare time . Tom never knew a “ stranger ,” just friends he hadn ’ t met yet .
He was member of Clark Community Presbyterian Church and attended West Lafayette First Baptist church at the time of his death .
Tom was married first to Kathryn Johnson Scott who survives . Then on March 1 , 1997 Tom married Linda

Tom is also survived by his children , Kimberly ( Matt ) Wadja and Travis ( Michelle ) Scott both of Columbus ; stepdaughter , Leslie ( Whit ) Croft of Coshocton ; three grandchildren , Brock and Cole Wadja and Logan Scott ; three stepgrandchildren , Darby ( Nate ) Smith , Caden ( Chelsea Donohew ) Croft and Cowen Croft .
Tom is preceded in death by his parents , a daughter , Shannon Marie Scott , two half-sisters , two half-brothers , one stepbrother and one stepsister .
Due to COVID-19 , the family has chosen to not have any calling hours . A private family service will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens at a later date with the Rev . Eldon Trubee officiating . Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family .

Linda was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church . After graduating from Coshocton High School in 1970 , she graduated with an Associate ’ s Degree from Kent State University , with additional studies at Central Ohio Technical College .
Linda is survived by her husband , Brent Overholt of Coshocton and her brother , Terry ( Penny ) Casey of Columbus , cousins in Nebraska and Virginia , a nephew and two grandnephews in Virginia ; and four Goddaughters .
Graveside services were held on Friday , Dec . 11 , 2020 , at St . Paul ’ s Lutheran Cemetery at 2 p . m . with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating . Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family . A Celebration of Linda ’ s Life will be held at a later date .
