Here to Serve Coshocton County planning another celebration for New Year ’ s Eve .
“ Two weeks before Halloween , we were talking about wanting to do something for our kids
226 Main Street , Coshocton coshoctonbeacontoday . com and thought why not do something for all the kids in the community ,” Tosha Dobson said . “ We had 80 RSVP for the Halloween event and ended up with a turnout of around 200 by the time you counted parents and extra kids . It seems like there is always something being planned for adults but not kids .”
The New Year ’ s Eve Gala will be held Saturday , Dec . 31 from 7 p . m . to 12:15 a . m . at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites . In order to make sure she has plenty of food and drinks for everyone , Dobson asks reservations be made by Friday , Dec . 23 . Call or text Dobson

Children age 5 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times . Children age 6 and up can be dropped off and picked up by 12:15 a . m . They will need a parent-signed waiver , which will be provided .

Dobson said there will be plenty of volunteers to help with the children , who are encouraged to dress semi-formal or casually .
Food , games , prizes , music , dancing and crafts are planned for the evening .
“ We are still looking for a DJ , but there will be a dance floor and music played somehow ,” Dobson said .
Crowtown and Pizza Point are assisting with food , and Dobson said she plans to have sauerkraut and pork and hot dogs available . Linda Hopkins donated money to help with the event , and Coshocton Village Inn & Suites also donated .
“ They donated their banquet room to us ,” Dobson said . “ Jackie Farley was super great .”
She hopes to host more holiday events for children in the future and start a nonprofit .
“ I love doing this and helping people in the community ,” Dobson said .
