America in Bloom advisors spend time in Coshocton

National America In Bloom professional advisors , formerly called judges , Leslie Pittenger and Linda Cromer visited Coshocton July 25-26 to evaluate the community ’ s efforts in several categories including landscaping , the flowers , community vitality , early forestry , heritage efforts , environmental efforts , the overall impression and more . This is a community-wide effort .
Pittenger is an America In Bloom board member and past president of the AIB board . She served on the national awards program committee as the advisor coordinator for five years and has been an advisor since 2014 .
Cromer is a past president and active member of her local garden club and spearheaded her community ’ s first participation in the America In Bloom program in 2005 .
“ The reason we changed our name from judges to advisors is because no community is really competing against the other ,” Cromer said . “ Five years is a great amount of time in between visits , and we have really been able

The Elks Golf League played week nine on July 18 at Hickory Flats Golf Course .

Leading team was William Albert Inc . with 298.5 points : Ed Moyer , Brent McKee , Darren Williamson and Rusty Richards .
