New royalty crowned in West Lafayette

Madeleine Larrison has been part of the West Lafayette Royalty Program since she was a little girl . Now she will serve her community as the 2023 West Lafayette Homecoming queen . “ I ’ m looking forward to traveling
all over Ohio , promoting the village of West Lafayette and making new friends ,” Larrison said .
During the July 27 competition at Burt Park in West Lafayette , she said being queen is about more than wearing the crown , sash and a pretty dress .

“ It ’ s a huge responsibility that takes a lot of hard work , dedication and time ,” Larrison said .
Serving beside her throughout her reign will be first attendant Alaena Huff and second attendant Mady Griffith .
“ I ’ m excited to travel all over the state , meet new people and make new friends ,” Huff said .
Like Larrison , Huff has been involved in the program before , but this was Griffith ’ s first time competing .
“ My cousin Morgan Bradford was queen and loved it ,” Griffith said . “ I ’ m looking forward to meeting people and traveling .”
Junior Queen Audrey Tubbs really got into the homecoming ’ s Christmas in July theme . She wore a Christmas dress and Grinch gloves while singing her answers to questions from a tune that went along with the movie .

Tubbs has been involved with the festival for years , taking part in parades when her older sisters held titles . Now she looks forward to her

Also on the court are Mini Queen Hope Folkert , her first attendant Abbygail Weaver , second attendant Adley Brown and third attendant Adley Duhamell .
“ I wanted to try something new this year , and I ’ m so glad I did it ,” Folkert said .
The 2023 junior miss is Aubrey Morris , and her attendant is Laycee Hill . Little miss is Braylee Ross , little mister is Mason Stein , QT patootie female is Amelia Bethel and QT patootie male is Waylon Pigman .
Senior Queen Theresa Norman was selected through nominations . She was honored for her volunteer work with the schools , 4-H , Girl Scouts , her church and the queen program . She had the pleasure of being crowned by her daughter Allison Norman , who was the spokesperson for the queen ’ s contest .
