LeRetilley Event Center opens in Roscoe Village

A building built in 1853 that suffered a fire in 1874 has gotten a new life as the LeRetilley Event Center in Roscoe Village . Zach and Janae Stevens purchased the building more than three years ago .
“ We bought it cause our daughter needed a place to get married ,” Zach Stevens said . “ It was during
COVID , and they needed a small place for the ceremony . She got married before I started any of the work on it . It was a cute , little church .”
Stevens said they originally thought they would rent the building to a church or something , but they thought it was so pretty and the perfect place for the community

to have events . “ It was a lot of fun remodeling , but old buildings are so hard to work on ,” he said .
The Stevens chose the name of the first postmaster in Roscoe Village as the name of their event center . “ His son actually signed the wall in the basement , and you can still see it ,” Janae Stevens said .
The center is located at 211 West St . in the village . It is on the corner of West and Center streets .
The center can hold up to 99 people and has parking for about 50 cars . Tables and chairs are provided , and linen tablecloths can be rented for an additional price . Both the upper and lower levels are handicappedaccessible . The upper level can be used for wedding ceremonies while the lower level can be used as a conference or party room .
There is a small serving kitchen on the lower level . “ It would be a good place for conferences , bridal showers , birthday parties — really anything you needed space for ,” Zach Stevens said .

There is a small area in the bell tower that has a bedroom , coffee bar and windows as a viewing area of Coshocton , Zach Stevens said . The room is not rented separately from the event center due to the closeness of the two areas .
