The Coshocton Public Health District , which combines the former city and county health departments , received a community improvement award .

The building houses a variety of services including the Maternal & Child Health Center , the WIC program , the vital statistics office and more .
The third award was given for the community room created by the county commissioners when making renovations for the new health district . The room can be used by government and service agencies for meetings , trainings and ceremonies and by the public for a small cost . It ’ s located at the back of the health district and has its own entrance off Chestnut Street .
Commissioner Dane Shryock said the room was a vision that came out of his office , but it takes much more than the three commissioners to make projects like this happen .
“ We have a team of people in our office ,” he said . “ It ’ s a team effort that is moving our county forward .”
The final improvement award went to Rust Décor , which has grown from a 4,500-square-foot building to a new location on Main Street that is 10,000 square feet . It features more than 40 vendors , craft workshops , and pop in and paint and will soon house a coffee shop .

The state trooper project focused on Move Over Law

The Ohio State Highway Patrol joined forces with members of the 6-State Trooper Project to enforce and raise awareness about the Move Over Law . The high-visibility campaign ran from July 16-22 and included the Indiana State Police , Kentucky State Police , Michigan State Police , Pennsylvania State Police , West Virginia State Police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol .
During the initiative Ohio troopers issued 690 Move Over citations and educated motorists about the state ’ s Move Over Law . Troopers from the six partnering states issued 1,064 Move Over citations in total .

an adjacent lane when approaching any vehicle with flashing or rotating lights parked on the roadside . If moving over is not possible due to traffic or weather conditions or because a second lane does not exist , motorists should slow down and proceed with caution . A version of the Move Over Law exists in all 50 states .
The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law-enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety , criminal patrol and information sharing .
