August 26, 2020 The Beacon • 7 May God bless America again in the November election Letter to the Editor: Here’s a different perspective/opinion of the president of the United States (POTUS), Donald J. Trump. Is President Trump a perfect man, or is there such a thing, other than Jesus Christ? I’ve seen so many polished men run for the office and make so many promises and delivered on none of them, until this POTUS. He has shown us the good, the bad and the ugly of himself, and I would bet that’s what got him elected, and will prayerfully be repeated in 2020. I did not vote for him in the primary, but I voted against Hillary Clinton in the general election. This time it will be a distinct vote for Donald J. Trump for four more years. He won me over, even with his braggadocios mouth getting him into trouble. He told us what he would do back in 1988 on Oprah Winfrey’s show, and he’s doing it right now. He’s making other countries pay their fair share. He loves this nation and hates what is happening to her. He gave us the lowest unemployment rate in history. That was before COVID-19, which is looking more and more like another ploy to remove him from office. The president also is building border walls; he’s appointing conservatives judges to office. He’s now sending federal police into the riot-ridden cities to protect federal buildings because their own Democrat mayors and governors have given stand-down orders to their police officers. They’ve removed protective gear from them and turned them into targets for the terrorists destroying and burning the infrastructure. A Missouri couple was arrested and guns confiscated for protecting their property while rapists, robbers, pedophiles and the terrorists that are terrorizing neighborhoods are being released. There’s something wrong here in America. Have you received a letter in the mail telling you that you have tested positive for COVID-19 and you haven’t even been tested yet? I’ve had five people tell me of family members in Ohio that have received it. They will get the numbers up one way or another to keep this masquerade going till November. Speaking of masks, the mandates are a joke that violate the freedoms stated File in the Constitution, also the lockdown of schools, businesses and churches. All the while liquor stores are open; abortion mills continue to kill babies. There’s something wrong here in America. The murder of innocent children and violence are increasing in cities run by Democrat governors and mayors. Look at Chicago, which has been under their control for decades or longer. What did Barack Obama do for Chicago (his own city)? Nothing. What did the Obama/Biden team do to improve the country? Obama was a polished politician and great orator, but what did they do? They did break records. They had more people on welfare, gave us the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression. Obama gave millions of dollars to a Muslim nation, bowed and kissed the hand of its ruler. Does Benghazi ring a bell? Hillary Clinton withheld troop support, and our American soldiers and its ambassador died. There’s not enough room nor time to list the Obama/Biden lack of accomplishments here, but their action and inaction revealed their disdain for this nation — the very opposite of what we’ve witnessed over the last four years with the Trump/Pence team. If you want our whole country to look like the terrorized Democrat-run cities, vote Biden/Harris, but if you want to “Make America Great Again,” reelect Trump/Pence. Say what you will and think what you must about President Donald J. Trump, but he says what he will do and he does what he says, and that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. May God bless America again in November. Nancy M. McFarland Coshocton Need to Advertise? I can help! Contact Nina Drinko [email protected] or call 220-201-6920 Pulmonology Care Right Here at Home!
