Gary W . Williams , age 69 , of Coshocton , passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday , August 15 , 2023 . He was born in Zanesville , Ohio , on January 21 , 1954 , to the late Raymond C . and Marlene ( Ebert ) Williams .
He graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1973 and then joined the United States Air Force , serving in Berlin , Iceland and New York . Gary served his country proudly until his retirement as a TSGT in 1995 . While in the Air Force , Gary was on the Air Force baseball team . He was a great athlete , playing football , basketball , martial arts , riding his bike and running long distances in
his youth .
Gary was a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church and was a lay speaker for many years .

Rip came a runnin ’ to greet meet as I pushed my iron steed on up the hill past “ his place .” Pride , stubbornness and the memory of a has been athlete had me hopping back on my bike , just past Batchelor ’ s to finish up the ride home .
Halfway down Ridgewood , a young father is working in the yard , and his little kiddo , about 3 or so , waves and smiles at me so wide I can nearly see her tonsils . I smile and wave back . I coast into the driveway already tasting those blueberry pancakes and accompaniments to come .
Zak has the table set and ready to go . I reach for the cupboards , pulling out the materials for the fine breakfast that will be plated and steaming on our table shortly .
Not even 9:30 a . m ., what a great start to that day my friend and I had . The morning was rich with sights , sounds , aromas , tastes and touches . I spoke aloud different thoughts and admired in awe the many different types of beauty my friend had created . We had some fun conversations . I didn ’ t even know half the people I spoke with , and sometimes we didn ’ t even say a thing , just waved . Then my friend joined the family as we ate a most glorious breakfast .

Obituaries

He worked for Clow , Kraft Foods and Ariel Corp . He was a member of the Warsaw American Legion and loved John Wayne and Western movies . He enjoyed drive in car shows , listening to music and spending time with his family and friends .
He is survived by his four daughters , Theresa ( Todd ) Hopkins of New York , Melisa ( Brian ) Chappell of New York , Marlene ( Jeremiah ) Wood of Tippecanoe , Ohio and Nathalie ( Matthew ) Rice of Bloomington , Indiana ; seven grandchildren , one great-grandchild ; siblings , Darla Bachman of Fresno , Kermit Williams of Coshocton , Carl ( Debbie ) Williams of Washington ,

The hydrants are being tested to ensure each hydrant works correctly .
The Holy Spirit part of God is always with us , waiting and ready to share a good day , created special just for you and me . Why do we speed through our days so often , so quickly , missing so much along the way ? I expect , like me , you are probably a busy person . We all are . But if you have been going a little too quick for a little too long , it ’ s time to slow down .
You don ’ t have to wait until Saturday by the way . Be it a day or even a minute , take some time off and be with our friend . See what he might have in store for you to enjoy . Life goes quick . Enjoy every second you can . Along with his parents , Gary is preceded in death by his brothers , Roy and Larry Williams .
Calling hours will be held on Saturday , September 2 , 2023 , from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Given- Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home . A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Chanay officiating . Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Coshocton County Veterans Council Honor Guard . In lieu of flowers ,

Progressive Livestock has been very active within the community over the summer .
Club members helped out with the Bakersville Tractor Pull . They ran the food stand and waited

Bruce A . Foster , age 80 , of Baltic , passed away on Tuesday , August 15 , 2023 . He was born on June 11 , 1943 , in Coshocton , to the late Robert and Mary ( Holder ) Foster .
Bruce was a truck driver and a great mechanic . He will be missed by his family and friends especially those at Oak Pointe Nursing Home in Baltic .
